Plugged in the Ext HDD, clicked My Computer with the mouse and got the dreaded 'Blue Donut Hell'.

Just the spinning blue donut.

Then this appeared in the top left.



Can't click on it, or anything, cause of the blue donut.

Now there's nothing showing but the desktop background.

Hit the power button to hopefully reboot it.

Well this is a learning curve for some of us! Next time you don't know something it would be better to practice on a PC at work or in a supermarket.

I've got to change the brakes in my car that I,ve never done before may as well get a hire car for a day and practice on it. If all goes wrong can just take it back and ask for money back because the brakes are shit.
