Balders...You're going to have to be a bit more specific!

Where does one find aforementioned, AP?

All the other devices are working through, WIFI.

For some reason, unbeknown to me (probably pressed a button in the distant past) my laptop has
    a hidden wireless connection!

1st you could check out the Buttfly registry hack, otherwise known as checking to see if your laptop has a wifi on/off on the outside of the case.

Plug it into the router by wire. Make sure you have interweb.

Go to Device Manager, remove the Wifi driver and uninstall it at the same time.

Reboot, let it pick up a new driver.

    Try again.

^I'd like to do that but when I go the device manager, there is no mention of WiFi driver.

Are any of you in the Cha-Am area?

in device manager, scroll down and click on network adaptors and you should see the wi fi adaptor.

right click on it and it give you various options such as uninstall etc.

it could be, depends what brand of adaptor was fitted by the computer manufacturer.

right click it , it should say update, disable uninstall, and then follow harry the fishs instructions

Well...What can I say. I followed the instructions in the video. uninstalled the driver, lo and behold...It didn't ask me if I wanted to install a new driver?

    Now I've got...No connections available!

    Next step please.

use the update driver software option.

if you have no connection, use one of your other devices to download "Microsoft Virtual WiFi miniport adapter" drivers ( find them on google) onto a usb stick and then install them on to your pc from the usb stick.

Just reboot your computer and it will find the driver automatically
