A computer whine if I may

    Another whine if I may?
    Frickin computer:
    Current problems:
-Old start.quon home page hi jacker still there after extensive efforts.
    -Curser jumping around still!
-Firefox annoying.Open in new tab… get two tabs open..One is various unrequested advertising websites.
-Yahoo Mail..Getting banner advertising in inbox 1st message..Blocks out tick box for delete..Yes adjusted options to disable..nuffink.
-Got numerous protective and antivirus software packages, including registry cleaners etc..I look in “applications” and there are several apps which have gotten there past all the latter stuff.

Would inquire to software vendors but cannot be arsed to get the usual runaround.

    Feel a bit better now….555

Fluck apples, overpriced and you're locked into a proprietary system. Ditch the windoze, go for linux. Only choice really.

Include AddBlock in Firefox? That might do it.

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir.../adblock-plus/

Cursor jumping is probably the mouse.

Issues are not system operating software related..applications!

Methinks that although many government agencies are able to block access and/or disable certain websites it boils down to one thing..the almighty buck!

Just have to live with it..will get worse methinks...

Have need of email right now for business purposes but probably end up just using messaging on Facebook..for now seems okay. Failing that will go back to using SMS or that strange contraption called a cell/telephone or even using a pen and fax maybe? 5555?

I experience no such problems but then, I did have the sense to buy a MacBook Air.

The way everything just works sensibly; no annoying, incomprehensible delays with odd whirrings, clunks and alarming increases in temperature, etc..

And, the truly bizarre thing is, the moment I bought it and returned home, hot foot to stroke its slinky, aluminium lines and hook the thing up, I discovered that I could no longer access Butterfly!

I knew Apple were damn fine at excluding bugs and things but wiping Butterfly from the ethersphere? Hell, that's some feat.

    Miss him though.

They've probably got "past" the stuff because you clicked OK when installing something without reading the small print.

Most of this shit piggybacks in on "free" software installations.

Uninstall the programs, and run SpyBot Search & Destroy to get rid of stuff.

Reset your browsers to remove unwanted Toolbars.

Run a deep A/V scan to remove anything else.
