I have 2 x 24" Samsung LCD Monitors using Windows 7 Ultimate and cannot imagine going back to just 1 Monitor.

My prime Display directly in front of me on my desk can easily display, for example, 2 Microsoft Word Documents, or a .pdf File side by side for copy and paste compositions etc. while the second Monitor on my right is showing my Email Client and, say, a newsfeed from BBC or whatever.

A lot of you use the second screen for messages and that, are you really THAT IMPORTANT? I was thinking of setting the default of my phone to some stock exchange, you know If I'm down Yodsak getting a blow job I can pretend to be a high flyer and that as I hand over my 500baht, although looking at it, is it really worth it?

LMAO it your case and that scenario yes, yES, YES it IS really worth it - do it!

As far as being important due to messages, I get about 50-60 messages per day that require a response from me. 50% arrive as email, 40% as voicemail and 10% via fax. I require (because I know how miserable it is without one) a display for my messages but the number of messages a person deals with I don't think has any play on their importance. If my messages went unnoticed I would be unpaid. It is simply part of my job. I am not communicating with parliament or re-writing Obamacare, in fact my job is not important at all. But it is important I do my job and messages play a big part in that.

Yeah I run 2 24" screens, one is for general surfing/email the other for youtube vids/tv shows/movies to watch whilst surfing.
