Doom 3, cant get it to work.

Before I begin, I'm as computer literate as my dog.
Downloaded doom 3 from piratebay, set it up ok, few problems, so up date diretx thing.
Still can't play, searched the web, seems I need some software, downloaded softonic stuff, still no good.

Can't find what I need, lots of sites, but no answers that I can find.

Old computer running windows XP, any ideas on what I can do, or am I doomed, not to play. Jim

Did you read the readme or info file that came with the download?
What actually happens when you try to run it?

The error looks like it is with OpenGL

I get a similar OpenGL error with Stellarium and the solution is to disable the OpenGL option.

Not sure if Doom3 has that option but there is plenty of info on Doom3 Open GL issue resolutions on Google.

Fix for the OpenGL issue. Should work for most of you. :: DOOM 3: BFG Edition General Discussions

Is there an iso in that rar file.

Loopers link is for those running the game through steam, I think

Yes extract the rar files into the pirated software and you should be able install all those viruses without any problem.
