^ but not your new iPhone 4s...
(4gb ram should be standard now, will help with caching, graphics and multi-tasking...)
4Gb? Try 8.
Anyway, I thought we decided the ASUS Trio is the dogs bollocks?
Yes, a tiny bit.
And I was mistaken because you kept rushing me.
Anyway, here is the actual laptop I purchased in Taipei for about 16,000Baht in January:
Amazon.com: Asus X501A-SPD0503W Intel Pentium 2.4GHZ 15.6-Inch Laptop - 4GB Memory - 500GB Hard Drive - White: Computers & Accessories
It is fine for short time use, or for use with short time, but it gets pretty slow after a while, and 4GB of Ram is still not nearly enough, because it just can't run any virtual machines.
So I use it for Language study, or commenting on this lousy forum, or for typing email,
When I am outside, and away from the PC.
So which one have you got Charlie?
Just got meself an Acer Iconia tablet, for use when travelling. Only £99 here in UK.
Well-chuffed with it I am.
^good stuff Tickity, hope it works well for you...
Come on Charles, tell us you didn't get an iTard and join the iGay club!
I haven't got a clue what to purchase as you twats have addled my brain!
Should have got Nige or some other fooker to purchase me one in the UK, as it appears to be the cheapest place in the whole wide fookin' world for electronics.
How things change...

If my experience today is anything to go by then a tablet is definitely the way to go.
I got roped into an outdoor performance thingy. First we got a silly magic show which involved sitting in a field watching some woman in black passing a white pigeon soft toy in a box to her accomplice who then clumsily hid it in her large blouse. Plenty of room there for a whole flock, I thought. We were all amazed when the magician retrieved the box sans toy pigeon.
After this various important men in suits were introduced and everyone stood for the King.
Then came the highlight of the evening: and acrobatics show at which point everyone in the cheap seats moved en-masse to the dear seats, stood their kids on the seats and held their tablets above their heads in order to record a display which absolutely nobody could see.
Now they can all return home and watch the show on telly.
Fcking peasants. I took about five minutes of this before walking out. Now if only I had bought a tablet....
I see fish. They are everywhere. They don't know they are fish.
I bought one of these today, they were over 3000 ringgit for a 128gb one not long back, picked one up for less than 1900, due to the Surface pro 2's arrival(which doesnt look much better specc'd).
Sure pisses on the Galaxy Tab I had.
Dil, the Galaxy tab is low specced overpriced shite, mate (the Note 8.0 is supposed to be good)... The microsoft surface is much better.Originally Posted by Dillinger

OT, sort of...
I'm looking for a tablet for a 2-3yr-old, didn't know till recently that there are loads of hard wearing tabs on the market specifically designed for toddlers.
Anyone have one, or can recommend one that's well supported with educational stuff?
Bettyboo.
Here's what I bought.
8,990 baht.
