    True internet, cheeky fecks!

    For the last few months the internet has been quite slow. We are on 10MB but youtube vids stop and start. Yesterday I did a speedtest online and the results were 40 ping, 500kB download and less than 100up.

    It has since been fixed but now the ping rate is 115 to 300+. What's the situation re ping vs DL speed?

    I'm not an expert but I think the lower the ping the better. Your original 40 ping was not bad.

    Low ping is good for playing online games because you get less lag.



    +edit: Just tested mine and I have 47ms Ping, 9.53Mbps Download and 0.86Mbps Upload. I'm on the same 10mb True package as you.

    They finally admitted to me in writing about two months ago. They do not guarantee any speeds outside of Thailand. So we have the TW, Thai web, not the world wide web. Its very bad if you are in an area with too many subscribers. Plus BBB share the same band width, I now know this for sure as well. Good luck. If you can get 3 and .80 in some areas like mine you are lucky.
