What is the operating system PP? Windows? XP or 7?

Is it a Video DVD or data (like software)?

I assume you have a DVD burner? True or False.

Do you have access and a friend with a Unix or Linux machine? The disk dump command makes this a doddle but be warned that if there is protection on the original it will be replicated onto the copy.

Rip the VOB files to hard drive using DVD Shrink 32

Download DVD Shrink v3.2.0.15 (freeware) - AfterDawn: Software downloads

Afterdawn is a good info site.

Then you can burn to DVD using Nero or something else or just watch the movie from the HD.

imgburn is the easiest way to burn a DVD Peter, its free too

    The Official ImgBurn Website

You may need to convert the files before burning to DVD,so they will play on any DVD player.
This is simple to use, get the free version
ConvertXtoDVD - AVI to DVD Video Converter to burn on DVD

A usb port on the TV is a hell of a lot faster and easier though
