Thread: True 3G coverage

Does anyone have 3G from True Move? I'm looking to get, and I'm wondering about prices, coverage and any opinions. It will be for my new tablet, and I commute east of Bangkok- near Samutsakhon. I checked their coverage map and it doesn't show much in that area. I'm hoping it has been upgraded to that area. Regardless, any opinions or advice would be much appreciated.

These services vary widely from plan to plan and location to location The true 780 baht 3g plan worked quite well in BKK and Phuket. More rural areas not so good. The DTAC 890 plan was better all around especially in the cities like bkk and Phuket, they give 5G of 3g and unlimited gprs. They also have better coverage in rural areas, not always 3g but adequate nonetheless. But switch the DTAC plan from 890 baht to the 390 baht the service plan goes from quite good to sucks monkey balls to the point of being useless.

For my money the top DTAC service is the way, it's hard to use up the 5G 3g allocation, but the speed makes up for it.

AIS is ok in a pinch you can get it by the day for 40 ot 50 baht for something like 60mb of data. Very handy if out of DTAC or Treu service range or if you don't have a plan subcribed.
