^ what's wrong with it?

Its facked. Take it elsewhere. What make is it ?
^ It's a PC clone (made by a computer shop back in Australia). I've taken it to 3 different shops already apart from 2 mates who first looked at it.

Try your monitor with a different PC or laptop, if its not the monitor, then get a new hard drive put in it.
Hmmm, funny how your friend said it was riddled with trojans and the guy at the shop said it was your anti virus program..... i would reformat it before anything else. Hope you have all your docs and photos backed up already
You could also run malware bytes before reformatting if you can get itbooted up That will find and destroy viruses after they have got in. Get rid of avg and get avast prior to running that too

At the least you know it should be limited to either the monitor, cable or graphics card/processor. If you have spares you could swap them out and try to narrow it down.
After my friend told me that it had trojans I took it to Pantip Plaza and the repairman did reformat it. Luckily, he asked me beforehand if I wanted the data backed up.
When I got it home it ran for a few days and then it started playing up again. I took it back, he plugged it in and said everything was OK.
Took it home, worked initially then played up again. Another mate told me about Malwarebytes, so I installed that and ran it. It found something and removed it.....but it still played up afterwards
The second repairer was the one who told me that my AVG was no good. He uninstalled it and installed Avira in its place. He declared it fixed... took it home, it worked for a day or two, then played up again.
The third repairer, as mentioned previously, plugged it in and said, nothing wrong. Took it home....same story.
As has been mentioned above. It must be a loose connection from where the monitor plugs in to something else inside the box??

Sounds like a circuit board is cracked or over-heating and then your screen goes blank? Fans running and operating for short periods and then off, blank screens?
Off the subject: How do I change the opening screen on Td to fit the screen? duh?

^ do you mean the top 3 columns ?
You armchair wanks know fuck all about puters. Only a fcukin moron would listen to any of you lot. I could fix it for ya if I wasn't thousands of miles away.
I had all the same probs for months . It was the hard drive that was nackered so just had to get a new HD reinstall windows & not had a prob since. HDs can take awhile to completly pack up but they make all sorts of probs when they are in the process of dieing . change your HD & you'll be ok

No, the right three are off the page so I have to shift the page to read the right three columns. reads, replys, no. of hits.Originally Posted by Dillinger
