What Keyboard are you using ?

I'm looking for a new computer keyboard , not such an easy task as it sounds with so many models and styles to choose from . I seem to be at my computer more at night time , so one of my priorities is now having illuminated keys . I'm not into gaming so that type of keyboard is not important .

Ive never really thought much about keyboards and their design before, but now looking at what's currrently avaiable it seems a science on its own, I was wondering what type of keyboard others here were using , do you take your keyboard seriously or does it just sit there and you tap away not giving a thought to your keyboards design and functions . So what keyboard are you using ?

I don't recall seeing a Keyboard with illuminated keys but I guess they will be out there somewhere.

I would strongly suggest getting a Cordless System however - Keyboard and Mouse. I have a Logitech Cordless Pro which I love - there are no Cables for either Keyboard or Mouse to clutter up my desk which is a huge improvement. An Optical or Laser Mouse is also much better than the Ball type (if they are still sold that is).

Is Jimmyboy Jimmy25 reincarnated? But his interests have switched from guitars to computers? Is that you, Jimmy25?

Sorry , not a reincarnated Jimmy25 , although the idea of being able to play the guitar does sound nice . So what keyboard are you using

Now you're really spoilt for choice.

Logitech - Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800

Works brilliantly and goes about 10 days before it needs charging which is done via USB and still function whilst charging.

I've got a black Microsoft keyboard. No problems, no fuss.

I do like the look of those illuminated ones though...

I'm trying to choose between a bling Razer mechanical keyboard, or a half-the-price backlit M$ keyboard.

The one thing I'm sure of is that I need one with illuminated keys. Recurring problem...

I start playing L4D online. There's a break in the action, keep right hand on the mouse for random incoming zombies, left hand reaches for the glass of wine/beer/scrumpy (necessary to enhance all gaming features) reload. Suddenly there's a horde incoming and I'm scrambling to find WASD keys in the dark.

I'm looking at Sidewinder X6 or Razer Lycosa/ultimate stealth.
Some people think it don't, but it be.

    ^

    It is.

Razer products have a great rep for being fantastic, and failing often. Review sites are littered with horrendously, happy users, and an equal share of pissed off punters

I gave up on my quest for a decent keyboard that has illuminated keys , until now .

The Logitech K811 Bluetooth Illuminated Easy Switch Keyboard

It seems to be able to do most things I want , there's a Windows version ( K810 )

Ive not yet been able to find it on sale locally , but its on sale on ebay

    I've got a Microsoft Reclusa.

Sounds like the kind of keyboard an Italian hermit might have.
