    Resizing question on a Mac

    Hi all .

Ok got new camera with 3 file sizes on it large 4mill extra large 8mill and bloody huge 16mill

I don't have any software at the mo except the simple iPhoto and want to resize some of these files down for email and web posting etc /.

I guess I could shell out for Elements for the Mac but is there a cheaper way to screw these files down to 640 by 480 ? as I don't really have much use for all the other bits that come with Elements

Oh BTW I know I am a Mactard
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

My recommendations would be Google Picassa for ease of use or Gimp for more technical post processing... but as I said, I know very little about Mac's.
Harry will be along soon to let you know what's what.

I was gonna give you the same advice as Neo

    Picasa,
theres a big quick upload button which automatically resizes before uploading them to the interweb, then you just press copy url and paste them into teakdoor if you like. its much much quicker than using the TD Gallery.

    here it is for Mactards,

Picasa for Mac - CNET Download.com

When you save someones pic or pics off TD you can zoom right in on Picasaa viewer and see everythin in Terrys kitchen

and that pic of Jan in the Caribbean, phwoar

There's a couple of ways to do it in iPhoto - using File -> Export should do what you need.

^what he said, you can choose entire events or albums and convert by the batch.

Sometimes if I just want to re-size a single picture I'll use share and email and drop the desired pic on the desktop.

I still haven't figured out whether iphoto can re-size a photo to specific dimensions the way you can in elements.

^That's what happens Wimpy, when you only have limited grasp of reality.

I'll take mine with mustard and onions, there's a good lad.
