Bladdy hell, if you can do it Nooners, then it should be a doddle.

Should I switch it off first?
^ Nah, leave it running and wear some rubber boots
Actually when my computer is off - I mean completely shut down - I can see green lights inside through the holes in the casing wher the fans are. Maybe I should unplug it too...
Don't be afraid. Look through any opening and see what side the main board is on. I believe the main board will be on the right side as you face the front. Mine is but it's the only PC I've ever owned so I don't know for sure. Then unscrew the opposite panel by removing one upper and one lower screw. Pull back slightly then off it comes. Anywhere you see a cable plugged into the main board rock it back and forth and pull it out, as if you were extracting a small tooth. Spray into the female plug and reinsert it while it's still wet. This will clean the male part of the plug. Let it dry a moment and replug it. Move on the the next. The large ribbon cables you see go the the hard drive. They are a little tougher to remove but they will slip loose soon enough. Some items like the RAM will have a locking clip top and bottom. Slide those back towards the panel you didn't remove. Use you fingers or a plastic rod to do it, not a metal object. Spray into that long female plug and them spray and wipe clean your RAM chip. Remember this is not water you are straying, it won't cause a short. Also it has a slight lubricating value. Your puter will like you better for it. Please! Do not forget to unplug your main power cord before you do anything.
Sorry, but what is it I am spraying?Originally Posted by Camel Toe

Well, it's winter and it's Chiang Mai. Gets down to about 19-20 at night in the bedroom, and upto about 26 in the day. That shouldn't matter, should it?Originally Posted by surasak
Oh, but it does.
I wrap mine in a blanket at night.
Didn't anyone tell you about that?
^ Quite correct .
A small blanket for the main case and a little pillow for the monitor.
Has Ben not been doing this then ?
Leave it for now Mr Baaa, you have small chances to repair a fault which isn't there now. Wait until it comes back
