    Nero 11

I am using Nero 11 to burn various movies to DVD, which is fine as long as I want to make my own crappy menus. But right now I want to burn a 'video ts' folder to dvd, this folder naturally has all of the menus already in it.

I ended up downloading Aimersofts dvd copy to test that it works, and it does, but I really want to do this with Nero 11.

Anyone here using Nero 11? Could you hit me up with a link to an idiots guide to using it?

    Many thanks.

I would have laughed along with you a while ago, but the in laws aren't au fait with the USB that pops into my tv and I am glad that they take the time to put on some of the DVDs that I have been making for my daughter.

Also my bloody tv doesn't seem to recognise half of the formats like mkv and possibly even mp4. I was changing them to avi and putting the on the usb but the in laws understand dvds so thats they way i'm going for now.

    Ever use Nero 11?

Thanks for those two replies. I wonder if this copy of Nero I got is fucked. I don't see a Nero Smart Start, and it is referenced in many an explanation that I have read.

My Nero Programs list contains many programs like Kwik Media, Burning Rom and Nero Video, but I don't see a Nero Smart Start.

I have been using the Nero Video one to burn the avi's, mp4's and mkv's etc to dvd but it doesn't seem to recognise the entire video ts folder. Instead I have to go and select the files within the video ts folder, import those at which point Nero Video makes the crappy DVD menus that I have been happily putting up with for now.

I don't actually have to buy the bloody program do I?

I have this version from the pirate bay. Some stuff there works perfectly and some not.

Do you have the real McCoy? I'm thinking maybe I should just buy it. It seems that it will be a heavily used program.

Thanks, I'll give imgburn a go.

Have to say I am very impressed with the quality of the Nero burns so far, HD programs look sweet on a 50" TV. I used DVDStyler before downloading Nero and DVDStyler compressed the video into a ridiculous letterbox that took up a third of the screen and also severely compromised the quality of the picture.

This guy sums it up well

Imgburn is free, small, efficient, and burns DVD Video correctly.

Nero is bloated, not free (OK, you probably got the cut down version for free with your drive), contains 296 different parts that all do things I don't need in a very mediocre fashion, and butchers dual layer discs.
