I will be in Thailand in January and will establish whether or not I have sufficient funds left. We have plenty of land and only require a 2 bed bungalow .
Its in the village the people are very nice but its nothing to look at just an old fashioned working village.

My mother 's health is deteriorating but she is hanging on, 94 next month. I should have gone a long time ago BUT, its me mum !
You can pray to all the deities as much as you like, but its yer mum that carried you , gave you life, I respect all that, just wish she would fade away gracefully in her sleep.
Am I a bastard for thinking like that. I just want to be with my wife.

Totally understandable - your mind is in turmoil - wanting the best, sometimes thinking less so and then beating yourself up over it, and later will come the guilt too. i went through it this year with my mum who lasted for 91 years and 1 month.

it gets better, trust me...

We are thinking of fitting these to the inside of the ceiling step to provide a little lighting interest in the rooms.

I have been looking into them for under kitchen cabinets, ceiling highlights, and in wardrobes. Also some with motion sensors that would go along the bed frame, for those midnight toilet trips. All still just research so far, no experience. And by the way, Philips and EVE make “smart” LED strip lights if you are interested in saying “Hey Google turn on the lights” instead of flicking a switch. The Philips “HUE” range of lighting is looking good .....”hey Google, turn on the outside lights” ......”ok Google, dim the lights to 50%”.
Yes, I am getting lazy in my old age.
