Gosh, that walling is going up at a rate on knots; the gate, was not having a concrete upright, right handside an oversight, assume KPot will make one?

Yeah that's right NPT.. he will be forming a gate 'box' with steps etc and an arch over.

I see they poured your fence post first and blocked afterwards, most other walls I've seen they block the walls first and pour the post later tying the walls together with the posts, any idea why that was done?

These are the very small windows - the frame looks too big for the glass, almost!


Here's the first shot with the window shutters closed. Don't think we will need to do this too often apart from when we go away, maybe.

If you remember, K.Pot got the quantity wrong so the initial flooring went on hold. Now he's had the delivery, he can finish the living room and dining room

So now, PJ's pride n joy are fitted.

Some prep-work first of course to size them to the frame.

They fitted the door hardware too...

TD that's coming along great, tell PJ i like the doors, missing a red paper lantern above them tho and i have to say she's right, your choice of the blue striped window shutters vs her woods ones, hers win hands down.

When is the moving in date?

Internal doors

The first one was fitted too.

We only got two because they were for the upstairs and downstairs WC and the door width was narrower than the rest - 80cm

We have ordered the other doors from hardwood, at 90cm x 200cm.

8 doors needed.

K.Pot is budgeted for it and in fact those hardwood doors were slightly cheaper than the ones available from Bunthavorn

These will be delivered in the next 10 days or so but I posted this picture so you can see the design - it will be the same on all the doors

Lol .. builders choice not mine - he was keeping the sun off the floor!

yeah... moving in date will 'probably' be second half of April - that's when i am back there again.

I think K.Pot will finish the house build half way through Feb and then 6 weeks of snagging before the final payment.

The OrBorTor engineer will do the snagging as I am here in Dubai. He's probably got a better eye for it, anyway...

He's motoring on with the boundary wall as that's quick cash for him 0- hes already had the 1st stage payment of 3.

I am streeeeeeetched at the moment for cash - had to cough up over 200K AED to finish paying for the PH apartments though i do now own them outright and they will soon be generating income!

Its not helped the cash flow at this moment in time though... lucky K.Pot is 'flexible'

That's a great time garden wise with the rains not far off, if you have the time and workforce it'd be a good time to get some planting in, particularly any specimen trees - they'll take better.

Fingers crossed for the apartments, part of your Pension? i recall.

I can't remember your plans exactly but April isn't you finished in Dubai? thought you have more to go there.
