Before I left Thailand, quite a few months back, I believe they were working on the Skytrain extension up Jangwattana Road and to Nonthaburi. Can anyone advise on the progress of this new line?

work has not begun yet. Sorry to say. But the winner for MP in Don Muang district had a big poster of the Skytrain with a Don Muang station airbrushed in.
Those piling you see were from the now defunct Hopewell project. I hope they are stable structurally and can be used for this project.

Yes. It doesn't go to Jangwattana. It goes from Bang Sue out to Bangyai passing along Rattanathibet road past Nonthaburi city hall.

Construction well under way but won't be finished for a couple of years yet.

yeah, now they are at Rama 7 Bridge with the construction site.

Really appreciate the information. My wife and I have maintained a house, for many years, that is in a community right off Jangwattana Road about half way between Pak Ret and Nonthaburi. Within walking distance of Central Plaza on Jangwattna. It looks as though the Purple Line will go through downtown Nonthaburi. We won't be able to walk it from our house. But, it'll be a short drive to that new station. Unfortunately, we don't get to spend a lot of time in our house as we are still living in the US. However, that may change soon.

Works were going well few month ago, a friend just lives across the big bridge on the Rattanathibet they were near reaching the Rama 9...
Not sure when ti will complete tough...
Toward Don Muang, yep not seen many new moves there...
It should as well soon reach the Petchaburry road more south, if this 2 would make a link, Rattanathibet and Petchaburry, wow that would be some service...
