One of my favorite solo
By the way, I heard they're coming back. I'm not so sure I want to see them.
Any opinion ?

Sorry, I don't really follow you. What the relation between Deep Purple and the killing of unarmed students?
Oh ! Now I get it.
Sorry about it. My post was only about music / guitar players.
Deep and sincere apologizes.
^No apologizes necessary. The song I posted wasn’t meant for you.
I was fond of them during the 70’s (memories and their music to a point). I remember going to a Deep Purple concert during the 70’s at the Miami Baseball stadium, because the girl I was going out with at the time loved them. The parking around the stadium was a bit to be desired. The parking lot filled quickly and we were unable to park at the stadium. However, the home owners around the stadium would let you park in their yards for a fee (back then about 3 to 5 US dollars). We parked, paid the home owner and went into the stadium.
After the concert we were a bit confused (for some strange reason) where we parked the van. Luckily a police officer (who took to the blond in short shorts I was with) told us to hop into his car and he would drive us around until we were able to find it. Thank goodness it was only a block away. We were both surprised he let us drive away.
To answer your question,………..they were good to listen to back then (to a point). Today, I think their music would be a bit dated. I wouldn’t purchase a ticket to see them.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Ian Paice was/is one of my favourit drummers.
I remember listening to Machine Head when it first came out. It was in my mates living room, on his dad's new sterio. I think we followed it with some Tangerine Dream.
Funny how things stick in your mind..................

Good Post Good Tune !
Can hear a bit of that Allman Brothers touch coming through.
Ahhh reminds me of the ole days in N.Y. , going to concerts like Charlie Daniel's Band, Allman Brothers Band, The Outlaws, The Marshall Tucker Band.
In the days when I was courtin',
I was seldom done resortin'
In the ale house and the playhouse,
And many's the house between
I told me brother Seamus,
I'll go off and get right famous,
And when I come back home again,
I'll have seen the whole wide world
And it's goodbye, Muirshin Durkin,
I'm sick and tired of workin'
I'll no more dig the praties,
I'll no longer be a fool
As sure as me name is Carney,
I'll go off to California
And instead of digging praties,
I'll be digging lumps of gold
Farewell to all the girls at home,
I'm bound away across the foam
Off to seek me fortune
In far Amerikay
There's silver there a-plenty,
For the poor and for the gentry
And when I come back home again,
I never more will say,
Goodbye, Muirshin Durkin,
I'm sick and tired of workin'
I'll no more dig the praties,
I'll no longer be a fool
As sure as me name is Carney,
I'll go off to California
Where instead of diggin' praties,
I'll be digging lumps of gold
And goodbye, Muirshin Durkin,
I'm sick and tired of workin'
I'll no more dig the praties,
I'll no longer be a fool
As sure as me name is Carney,
I'll go off to California
Where instead of diggin' praties,
I'll be digging lumps of gold
Goodbye, Muirshin Durkin,
I'm sick and tired of workin'
I'll no more dig the praties,
No more be a fool
As sure as me name is Carney,
I'll go off to California
Where instead of diggin' praties,
I'll be diggin' lumps of gold
Come on sweet caroline
You’re my sweet caroline
You know I want to take you
I’ve really got to make you

The things we regret most is the things we didn't do
Bob Wills sings "Faded Love". Reminds me of Thailand for some reason

Careful if you’re wearing headphones. Volume control is towards the top of the page.
You can listen to the entire “The Essential Jimmy Thackery” here. Another good one is “Cool Guitars”.
