Thread: Prince

This surprised me. Don't know the blokes on it but P does the business. I think he's very underrated as a guitarist.

Nice stuff JJ, P is a great guitarist, a great showman, and his phrasing is Sinatraesque.

As I understand it this mob backed Prince.

The 2 guys singing While my guitar gently weeps are Jeff Lyne who was with the Electric Light Orchestra and Tom Petty from the Heartbreakers and the guy standing behind them playing rhythm guitar is George Harrison's son.

I think that concert was a tribute and after George passed away and I also noticed Billy Preston playing keyboards who some claimed was the 5th Beatle.

'Sign of the times' and 'When Doves Cry' are the only ones that I really like and would play, most of his other tunes are just ok.

I agree about the solo in the OP, far out man... very Hendrix.
