Good luck to the guy and almost anything would improve Pontypool, however most school kids do such graffitoes, some may see this as democratising aesthetics or just sumbing down to those of limited talent like me. Like a tribute act to RG the authot of TinTin.

The real story is many former industrial communities were located where there was coal steel textiles thayt no longer provide long term stabel incomes sufficient for success , the young go to Uni and never return and the valleys are left with drug and trash polluted ghettoes with hard to heat 19th century terraced slums.

In the 1960s Wilson encouraged the NEDC to bring foreign onvestment but the Japanese et al just brought screwdriver assembly with all the tech profits and patents resting with parent companies.

Young realize the state is broken and affordable family housing means working to pay a landlord a return to Victorian values, from what I see and read of places I kmow the Anglo Saxon model of vaste transfer to the wealthy is mirrored from NYC, London Sydney Toronto and Melbourne where a single worker even 2 worlkers have virtually no chance of the freedom of home ownership unless wealthy parents who help or they inherit a family home. Rant over.

Thanks for all the great street art while taste varies nice to see places brightened up.

I get by with a little help from my Sybille.

Thanks for the effort as person who annualy visits fne art at Louvre and Musee D'Orsay Paris as a member, Tate Britain, Kenwood House to see the amazing aged Rembrandt self portrait, the superb Wallace Collection all in London, and Kinský Palace - National Gallery in Prague.

I find I avoid graffiti and street art. It usually indicates a poor/druggy/dangerous part of any city , such daubs would not be permitted on well maintained buildings. I am afraid I in the minprity that find Bansky a derivitive average draughtsman who has made a fortune from dross, I have met him and all of Massive attack and he's a chancer the band were not even the best local musicians., Dave Evans, Stackridge, Bananrama even or teh sublime Portishead who I know far better.
