What a great band they were. Shame Rod went off the tracks later but thats the way it was. Young members jump threads now. Nout here for thee.

Fantastic you nostalgic old fart. Happens to me after the first beer if I am at the keyboard.![]()
Saw him on a Top Gear rerun last night. Funny as fuck. And Clarkson was in awe of him. Guy could drive a car as well. Drove that Chevy into about 4th place on the show. Glorious sense of humor and a true survivor if you have read his book.
Another great survivor and one of my all time favorites. Never could figure out why I loved this song until I married my wife, and she bore me twins. Should be Girls though
I preferred the band before Rod Stewart and Ron Wood joined them, when they were still 'The Small Faces', with Steve Marriott doing the singing and guitar playing. Much better band.
Best thing Rod Stewart ever did was in '69 with these Aussies:
Anyone know?
- David Bentley
- David Montgomery
- Mick Liber
- John Helman
A Broken Dream? Phython lee Jackson as well?

In a Broken Dream?
Beaten by AO.
^ greened for knowing and loving it. Nostalgic old farts are few and far between.![]()
Python Lee Jackson - In A Broken Dream - awesome!

^ Loved that PLJ track although I seem to remember Rod was not best pleased by its release.
My personal favourite member was Ronnie Lane .....looks pretty high here . Used to play this one with my mates. Very soothing.
I saw The Faces in their very first North American show, the tour opened in Toronto in March 1970. Fabulous concert for my first big concert as a bug eyed 16 year old, also on the bill were Canned Heat and MC5. Faces/Ronnie Lame fans should check out Rough Mix w/ Pete Townshend -a great record- or with his band Slim Chance.
