Relax, DD. Some of these people making STUPID remarks have not lived in Thailand very long... Nor will they live very long in Thailand!

That sounds like a threat to me.

Isn't there a thread about that somewhere.

Mrs. Q. get yer college bpoy bro to build your house and watch him end up cryin in te corner; a broken shell of a man. College boys with no practical experience belong in the office where they can do less harm.
Best builders I knew where guys that started with a shovel, broom or maybe a wheelbarrow in their hands. They might have even spent four years in college, but they still learned their trade like tradesman.
I started at 13; toenailng door openings and sweepin' out the for the finishers. Years later studied a bit of architechture on the ex-con plan. Worked as a rigger, welder and mechanic with the operating engineers. Loved watch those college boys; gonna show the pros how it was done. Up to their ass in concrete, six trucks backed up and laborers got no idee what the fuckers tryin' to get 'em to do as he's talkin out his ass. With no clue what to expect when his perfectly laid out forms bust all over and there's no turning back cause concrete's expensive and it's gonna go off whether he's ready or not.
Let your brother build the house then you go ahead and try an live in it. If your bro's smart first thing he'll do is hire a dude like the dog.

My brother is a builder of some sort back in the UK. Apparently he's so slow and careful it's unbelievable, but this has meant he's got some work with a rich bugger who's doing a load of barn conversion and wants everything perfect.

I'll try and get some photos when I'm back in the UK, I think these are million pound plus properties so they should be pretty plush. Oh, that's in the north, not in London where a shed costs 2 million.
