    Bloody Hammocks

Bloody things, I just can't seem to get on with them. I am not a tall guy, but the hammock at my restaurant which I paid an exhobitant price for does not seem to fit me, when I try and get in it I have to stretch it to fit me and its still to damn small.

Then on Sunday I was fishing in Bangkok with my mates, sorted a beer, went to get into someone else's hammock and fell right off the other side bruising my ribs, however for some inexplicable reason I still had my beer upright and hardly spilt a drop How can this be??

Does anybody else have these kind of problems ,or is it just me????

    You need a mexican hammock.

The really big thin stretchy ones - they are the dogs bollox and big.

Fozzie you silly boy, what do you expect buying a hammock from a restaurant?
Restaurants sell food and beer and, if you're lucky, a side line on ladies but never bedding!

    And fishing in a hammock?

I think you're trying to combine too many leisure activities at once.
I've managed to smoke, drink, play pool, talk crap with marmers, chat up waitstaff and watch football at the same time but can't imagine adding a hamoock to the list!

I post here because I don't really have much of a life and I prefer talking to people who cannot reply in real time.

The best hammock is made out of bamboo and is fairly rigid compared to others. Costs about B450.

ropy hammocks are painfull and leave marks on your body, cutting blood circulation and so on...

Woollen cover hammocks like the mexican are often more comfy...

There is a modell available in Thailand, quiet good on synthetic material and you can close yourself inside for protection against mosquitoes... but i think it is not ideal decoration on a restaurants terrace...check for proper size, i think the thai army uses this one...

Shouldn't you do a big thread announcing that you're coming back first. And maybe have a poll asking if anyone gives a shit?

and if you read this you will be considered as a time looser or gay up to your choice here...

As times change it was said by some philosophers that "time is money" was a very stupid quote, most people concentrate today still on counting their money, what is a renewable ressource but the one time given to each not many concentrate on using properly....so i go back to my hammock now.

I like hammocks, even those dirt cheap Chinese nylon ones are good

the best one I have is a Brasilian cotton, all soft and a double size

I remember turning up at some Amazon backwoods hotel, being shown to my room...which had no bed! It was normal there for everyone to bring their own hammock and put it on the hooks provided. You could also use it when travelling anywhere by river...that is nice, chugging along in a hammock.
    I have reported your post
