Idealistic nonsense. The 'guy on the street' gets to vote in an election for Candidate A or B from parties C and D once every four years and must otherwise pay their taxes for things that they mightn't even approve of. The majority of Americans are now opposed to the war in Iraq and yet it continues. Perfect example.
