God is a big factor in America. Separation between religion and politics is non existent. So far the country has done pretty good at separating religion and the state but it to is slowly creeping in. Dangerous stuff if the founding fathers can be believed. | Like many people my views on religion have evolved over time. And I am moving to a point where I am practically becoming anti-religion. Of course this does not sit well with most folks on the red team. But generally speaking I don’t get too much hassle over it. In reality I think most of the blue team are far more liberated when it comes to religion. But I think they pander quite a bit in regard to religion as well. This really is a sad thing, because until a significant portion of the US population become more tolerant in this regard things aren’t likely to improve. I give my sister a hard time occasionally about forcing religion on her kids. I am willing to accept that grown adults should have the right to choose to believe in fairy tails. But I think it borders on child abuse to indoctrinate the youth of America into what I feel are basically big cults of fantasy.
