Both McCain and Hillary's 'Gas tax exemption' electioneering carrots are utterly, utterly stupid. An exeample of, when it comes down to actual Policy, Obama is in a different league entirely. It's a shame that, in this mass media age, people are being spoon fed with non-sequiturs such as a firebrand pastor, drinking beer and bowling with the great unwashed to show you are a 'peoples person', and so on.

Obama, who is routinely accused of being a smooth talking populist with no substance, is the only candidate that has an actual energy policy. The Republicans are of course the 'Party of Denial' (or a party in denial) but Dem Hillary offering this stupidity is a blatant attempt to bribe votes from the short sighted and ignorant. I can only presume that the Democratic superdelegates see right through it.

Gas Tax Exemption in a nutshell = Borrow more from China, to pay Opec.
It just continues, and exacerbates, current US issues such as over reliance on hydro carbon energy, gratuitous consumption thereof, ballooning government debt and foreign indebtedness, and environmental issues.
