Interesting, in a nation founded by whites of European descent, you'd like to see a black president.

Presiden Bush also declared the 9/11 attacks to be a criminal act, and then quickly changed his tune to the agreed upon talking points, 'war on terrorism." It was a criminal act, and not an act of war, as 19 Arabs had nothing to do with 9/11.

Ahh, but he was wrong though, wasn't he? Most people were actually- now about to complete his first term, Obama is currently firm favorite to be a two term Potus.

If you keep reading the Lamestream Media Polls mebe. According to most objective polling, it's a dead-heat with Romney beginning to pull ahead.

Actually I think it was more of a Bush backlash, coupled with people realising that in electing a pensioner and a retard, they were actually just re-electing the mandarins.

^ Bit of Bush backlash, agree, but too many folks were gaga over Obama; I even admit he has charisma, but that don't mean he has the brains to run the country. That is sadly evident today. Foodstamp anyone?

I reckon he has brains, Jet

He doesn't need it for 'running' the country though.

    The keyword must be electable

One thing he did get right: "Politics trumps Problem Solving". And every single politician in Washington is guilty of that charge, usually because they are more interested in protecting the special interests that fund them than protecting the American people.

Looking at the election from a non American perspective it seems that the one man that could actually do some good for the country has already been classed as unelectable and can't win when the voting hasn't even started yet. Ron Paul. it seems it is then going to be a toss up between your Black Tony Blair or the geriatric loser ?
For me either way you look at it the USA as we knew it seems well and truly fucked.
How people can even consider voting for this clown for another term beats me. He seems to have done fuck all of what he promised to do.
A little off topic but I can remember taking a guy diving just before the Obama elections. A black American guy. On the boat on the way back to Samui I asked him who he thought would win. he said he didn't really care who won just as long as it wasn't Obama. I found this to be very weird as I would have thought he, as a black man would want a black president.
    far from it.
He said that black people would be fucked if he won. he said they would no longer be able to blame the white people for the repression and always being the underdog.
He said if Obama won then it would prove that there was no real racism or oppression and if you really wanted to succeed you could. If a black man can be the president of the United States of America then the years of excuses were well and truly over.
I suppose when he explained it like that he had a point.
Wouldn't it throw a wrench into the works if enough people did actually vote for Ron Paul.
That I would love to see though I doubt he would last long.
Treat everyone as a complete and utter idiot and you can only ever be pleasantly surprised !
