Tanks on every street corner. A few convoys of humvees

Nothing really happening except more traffic jams.
A lot of people are around the intersections, watching
All guns are covered
Nothing so dramatic

Funnily enough, channel 9 and 5 were the only ones to broadcast Thaksin's emergency message. Channel 9's CEO has just been arrested

People are cheering in support to the soldiers, only one Thaksin supporter present showing his anger.

Dougal, that's an interesting statement to make given the number of UK tourist killed in Thailand in the last year or two

I'm with you there. Constitutional monarchy may be, but people do tend to listen to HRH and he knows what's best for LoS and it ain't soldier boys.

what a time to have a coup - I was going to buy my flight to Thailand tomorrow - couldn't they have waited till I got there first.....damn party poopers..!

if you haven't bought your ticket yet, chances are things will be calm by the time you get there.

me...on the other hand...supposed to be on a plane tomorrow lol...

gonna take my chances and hopefully they won't turn me around.
