I am 26 male Indian origin from Hong Kong just moved to Bangkok last month.
hope to share some good information here.
and yes also looking for new friends for couple of drinks and hanging out.

Might want to stake out KhaoSan Rd., been years since I was down there but there were plenty of falang chicks about. Mind, they were of the dreadlocked-neo-hippy variety, so be warned if this is not to your taste.

yes gems business is in chanthaburi,but i am into diamonds only,no gems or colored gems etc..
