True. That thing does go well. It's a bit fucked on the twisties though, but luckily, you've only me in front of you usually, so you're OK.

What can I say, some of us lead and some of us follow
Well, well looks as though Biker Rigger is throwing down the gauntlet!
One day I will build one! One day!
Like Franky, need time & money.
Time is consumed by work & biking.
Money is reserved for upcoming new track bike.

If you want go fast then why you fucking with a Harley?
You go faster, quicker, Longer and cheaper with a Big Jap than even a Hog can brag about, thats not what HD is built for.
No matter what you do to them or spend on them they will never do what a big jap will do.
I don't think anyone buy Harleys with the sole intention of making them go faster.
Rather more of a better bike or customised to their tastes.
If I ever have a Harley. I too would strip the junk off it and make it lighter. But not for speed but in the vain hope that it will handle thru the curves. A hopeless exercise really, as the geometry of the chassis is designed for nice long straight roads.

Harley riding is all about style. A Suzuki Hayabusa has no style. But an old underpowered overweight eyeball shaking heritage softail has freaking style.
FF just want's to go a little faster with style!

As for me I own two of the most unstylish and ugly bikes ever made: An R1100GS and a KLR650. They're so ugly they have an ugly cult following.

But I dream someday I'll own a stylish moto like a Ducati or a Hardley!

I think you'll find that what Americans think is stylish has little relation to what the rest of the civilised world thinks is stylish.

For those that want speed, handling and most of all style without breaking the bank. Should consider a parallel twin cafe racer.

HOG makes a V twin Cafe Racer, or at least did at one time not long ago.

Ever rode a well set up softie or even rigid through the twisties? It ain't a cafe racer or a road racer to be sure, but a decent hawg can fun in the turns too. I'm not goin out knee draggin, but scraping a peg or pipe from time to time makes things interesting enough.

Prefer to scrape a slider rather than parts of the bike.
I understand where you are coming from, concerning having fun in the twisties.
I much prefer bikes designed for the twisties from the start.
