Depending on how the meat/dairy product is produced. Where it comes from. Mind you, not for me to say - but such food products are not universal worldwide. Contrary to popular illusions, all meat/dairy products {all foods for that matter} are not the same.

The secret is a balanced diet.

Eat too much of anything and it will eventually catch up with you.

Aaah, bollox to it. I was a strict veggie for 10 years and have been eating meat etc again for about 4 years now.

At least I can now have a bacon sarnie or a steak. If it kills me, well, I might be run over by a bus tomorrow, so why not enjoy myself foodwise?

That's way too much, and you'll die from a heart attack very soon.

I always knew that about milk. The controversy about milk has been going on for a long time. I don't drink much milk, and barely eat ice-cream. I get my calcium from soybean products, and vegetables. I try to stay away from cheese too (good cheese is hard to find here).

The problem is, as Norton said, something new that will kill us always pops up. I try to eat healthy, and exercise.

Raw fish is so very popular here in Korea. I can't stand eating raw fish though. This actor from the Korea movie, decided to eat 'live octopus.' Disgusting!

And you say you are in Korea and do not eat sashimi,,what the fuck wrong with you?

Yea, I will go with Marmite on that, from the looks of what I saw, you do need to try a lot harder.

    ^ Sounds darn good, BG.

And as for dairy, I don't eat it much (for no particular reason) but if people want to eat it they should - in moderation, just like everything else in life.

There was a cracking Opra show the other night on those folks from around the World who live to be over 100 and still are fit mentally and physically,

It was based on diet essentially (meaning what you eat) and attitude to life,

Foods such as Fish , fresh veg , cheese (would you believe) and 2 glasss of red wine per day, (sardinia)
In America the 7th day Adventists were spectacular , one guy was still performing open heart operations, christ he is 94,

The gist was it.s what you eat and your attitude to life is very important,
    Shit thats me out

Mmm, kimcheee. How did your Kimchi turn out, BG?

^Yeah, that is amazing. A glass of red wine is supposed to be good for the heart.

The thing is, you just never know. My grandparents lived till their mid-80's, and my grandmother had diabetes and never took care of herself. A lot of how long you live also depends on your genes too. I guess a combination of both.

I'm trying to cut the booze right out. Eating too much red meat, fried foods, and fatty food, isn't good for the heart or blood pressure. Over time things like that can kill you. Although, just walking out your front door can kill you too. So, everything in moderation is a good motto.

I sure am glad that I don't eat red meat, I only eat Angus beef from argentina and Thai pork and Beef from NZ and OZ, I have got to cut back too, my meat bill was 26000 3 months ago. that shit will kill you. guess I will buy more salmon.

God damn I am glad you reminded me, I posed to take and record my BP every day so I can show my Dr. when I see him again sometime, 108/48 and PR of 75, seems beef is good for you if not over cooked.
But we had baked ham that I cured for supper tho.

Probably thirst, because you can live only for a very short period without drinking. No food takes over a month.

    Otherwise agreed.

I have read tons of findings that almost everything is dangerous. So I eat everything to balance the threats.

Be careful with the vegetables, Im sure someone will say they can kill you too. Roving gangs of ninja carrots and samurai lettuce can be deadly kids. Fuck 'em, I eat what I want to.

You'll be just fine BG. I heard that cancer is shit scared of you and won't even come near your place.
I have always believed and practiced the following ethos.
If i eat too much and fail to burn off excess calories with exercise, i will get fat and my bones will not be able to support my body and hert will struggle to get the blood around to where it's needed.
Same applies if i use intoxicating liquor. It will need some balancing to flush the liver and kidneys.
Balance food of any kind with some exercise.
Balance alcohol consumption with water intake and exercise.
End result. Exercise plenty and drink lots of water and you can pretty much eat and drink what you want.
I am 55 and apart from some arthritis, in decent shape. My belt buckle will remind me if my food, drink and exercise balance is getting out of order. The human body is clever, but too many people overcomplicate it. It is a tool, use it regularly and keep it well fuelled and serviced and you're ok.

I agree with the guy who said qualiy research information is parmount, and many big companies sponsor research to select results that suit their cause.
.edu/ac and .gov web research can also be econmical with the truth when it suits them or their sponsors.
Believe nothing unless your mother said it.

Well shit, That pres of Bolivia, Evil Morales or what the fuck ever was on TV bragging about being in a hunger strike and was only eating coco leaves for the last 5 days and drinking water,, what a farce then if he can last for a month, but with a diet of coco leaves he might think it has been a shorter period.

Vegetable scares over here -- spinach tainted with e-coli. Ya, ya. Just wash the sh*t. I eat it raw almost daily.

High blood pressure can also run in families. I don't eat red meat. I haven't in over ten years. I eat a bit of chicken, fish and turkey. My dad has hbp and is on pills. He cut out eating all the fried stuff, stopped smoking, and started exercising, and he barely has to take any meds anymore.
