China also has people in Libya who want to get out. In military terms this is very low-key and if it causes the US concern then I truly would be concerned about the state of US forces.

    Nothing is going to "happen".

Given China's increasing presence in the world I would consider it strange if they didn't have a presence off Libya just now.... unless of course the Mediterranean is now American territory.

actually this is quite significant strategically. It is sending a message to the american bully that nobody is taking their shit anymore and they are not the only one to send ships overseas

Well the US has a pretty good track record of baiting the Iranians now don't they. Have you forgotten that a US warship shot down an Iranian Airlines Airbus flying over the Persian Gulf during a time of no military actions in the region (e.g. not during Gulf War etc)?
My mind is not for rent to any God or Government, There's no hope for your discontent - the changes are permanent!

Especially in Africa, and I would be almost certain they have people in China, probably quite a few.

I hadn't forgotten that the Vincennes shot down an Iranian civil flight but again it's your interpretation that the Americans were baiting the Iranians and it's certainly not recorded as for that reason.

Your quick to post your selective views just as you did re the Appache incident, yet later when it's made obvious the tape you viewed had been selectively edited your suddenly silent about the facts.

Try and balance your views before posting because not everythings plain black and white...and not everything in the world fits 100% with your views.

I don't think we need to worry to much about that one ship, there's already millions of chinks in Africa they are taking over the place

Everybody knows it was accident. Did the US ever compensate the families?

Only pro US editing is to be tolerated, similarly journalists who are anywhere near opposition forces are legitimate targets, as are kids in vans.

Yes, there are always differing views, not everything is as presented by CNN, for balance try watching Fox as well.

The Vincennes Airbus incident was a serious lack of judgment by the Captain of the vessel. The aircraft was oe route to Dubai and this could have been found out if they had contacted the Airbus. Or Air Traffic Control in Iran or Dubai. They did not, they shot down the aircraft because it was Iranian and it had flown into what the US Navy deemed as vessel over fly zone. The Captain was not repremanded for this incident,in fact he was given a medal by the US Navy. There is a book written on the subject by the Captain I read a long time ago. He basically said he thought his vessel was in danger and too appropriate action.

Others in the western world disagree, I am one of them. Loss of civilian life due to errors of judgment by the military are unacceptable no matter whose military force you are serving.

George Bush I also refused to apologize- “I never apologize for the United States of America. I don’t care what the facts are.” —George H. Bush, while campaigning for President in 1988.

Yes thats very true, I should have mentioned that. A more arrogant President of the US you are never likely to see. I just wish it had been the other way round and
George W Bush had been assassinated and not JFK, but thats the roll of the dice.

Bush,Cheney,Rumsfeld and Blair have caused more suffering in the world since the last big gig between 1939-1945. I would have liked to have seen all of them in The Hague by God They deserve to be.

In 1996, the United States and Iran reached "an agreement in full and final settlement of all disputes, differences, claims, counterclaims" relating to the incident at the International Court of Justice. As part of the settlement, the United States agreed to pay US$61.8 million, an average of $213,103.45 per passenger, in compensation to the families of the Iranian victims. However, the United States has never admitted responsibility, nor apologized to Iran.
In fairness, that does mean that Iranians are worth more to the American government than 9/11 rescue workers.

Yes, no wonder they don't recognize the ICC. Would be good to see Blair there also.

In fairness, to compare the two would mean the US being taken to court for responsibility for the 9/11 attacks.
