Like in the movies: Truth defender being chased internationally

it sounds like a Bruce Willis movie with a conspiracy to kill or chase someone frantically because he has "big secrets" that nobody should know

BBC News - Interpol issues 'red notice' for Wikileaks' Assange

Interpol issues 'red notice' for Wikileaks' Assange

Interpol has issued a "red notice" for the founder of the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks, Julian Assange.

It said the Australian was wanted for questioning in Sweden over an alleged sex offence, which he has denied.

The red notice does not amount to an arrest warrant. Instead, it asks people to contact the police if they have any information about his whereabouts.

Meanwhile, Ecuador's President Rafael Correa has said he did not approve an offer of residency made to Mr Assange.

Does appear to be a smear campaign as apparently the two women have denied that a rape took place.

The Swedish legal system being abused once again, Pirate Bay.

Yes apparently, however it does appear the only people who know exactly what happened are those involved.

"pupa" and others like him seem to revel in speculation and rumour, personally I'd like to see an open and fair trial for this guy if there's going to be a prosecution that is?

Why hasn't he been charged, is the only reason for that they can't locate him?

So if it really isn't a smear campaign?

Why issue a red notice and not an arrest warrant?

More and more, Western Governments, especially the Americans, are not even trying to disguise their evil acts. No doubt they want the payback aspect of these bogus charges to be quite clear in order to discourage and intimidate others. Plausible deniability is giving way to "what are you going to do about it?"

I don't buy that, the prosecutor would have dropped the case immediately if the girls had denied it happening and they would instead had been charged for filing a false police report.
Be aware that there are currently no official charges against him and he is wanted by the police for questioning, they want to hear his side of the story.

The prosecutor is not allowed to bring the case to a court before that has happened and she will have to make a decision after hearing Assange's statement whether there is a case and whether it holds in front of a court or not.

The fact that there isn't an arrest warrant for him says that there are no witnesses so the case is weak.
With witnesses, the prosecutor could have filed for an arrest warrant instead of a "red notice"

It's nothing but a fucking joke. That whore Clinton should have done the decent thing and resigned the minute it became public that she had asked her staff to illegally obtain personal information on foreign diplomats, but such is the lack of character of both her government and the fuckwit American voter, she's allowed to come out fighting and saying how unjust it all is.

If Watergate happened now, Nixon would be on TV saying that Woodward and Bernstein were enemies of America, and Fox News would be backing him.

He's been arrested and released by British police. The Swedish arrest warrant wasn't filled out properly

A pity he doesn't have Bruce Willis to take care of him.

It's hard to make a case that he's a traitor since he's a citizen of a foreign country. He is obtaining or buying the information from people like Bradley Manning who, IMO, is the traitor and spy.

Julian Assange is a hero. I want to know as much as possible about what is going on out there. Many people don't want the truth known. They must say I am happy to be a sheep and follow Big Brother. I'd house this guy if he were running away from the gov't whatever gov't that is. I guess now it's that New World Order showing its head. He's not a traitor. Some people just can't handle the truth.

Anyways, all this is going to make a few Hollywood movies, a video game, and inspire people to want more info overall.

    Catch him if you can!

    Run Julian Run!

    Go Robin Hood!

    Stick it to The Man!

Why? I prefer knowing these things to remaining ignorant.

None were classified top secret, the highest level was NOFORN (no foreigners), about 6.9% of all.

Highly embarrassing but no real damage done.

If the fuckers write embarrassing stuff they should make sure it doesn't get into the wrong hands. Easy.

Actually every one of those that handled the the messages should be fired for stupidity and if not that for complicity in stupidity.
