    Caution - justice at work!

Thug who kicked terminally-ill grandfather in the head in unprovoked attack walks free from court

A thug who attacked a terminally-ill grandfather and kicked his head 'like a football' has walked free from court.

Vicious Reece Kent, 19, repeatedly punched Ken Oliver in the head before kicking him on the floor because he mistakenly thought he was the father of a girl he knew.

Cancer sufferer Mr Oliver - who has been given just three months to live - was left in a pool of blood on his doorstep with horrific injuries. He spent a week in intensive care following the attack, with bleeding on his brain.

Horrific injuries: Ken Oliver was in intensive care for a week after the attack on his doorstep

Reece admitted carrying out the unprovoked attack - which was filmed on a mobile phone by his friends - and pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm.

But Mr Oliver, a grandfather-of-three from Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, watched in disbelief as his attacker walked free from court last week with a six-month suspended sentence.

Today he said: 'I would love to have seen him go away for a long, long time. I could quite easily have died. I was expecting him to go to jail. I am gutted.

'Before I knew what was going on I was being punched and kicked. My head was used as a football and the whole attack was recorded on a mobile phone.

'I am appalled at the sentence. They were swearing and laughing in my face. He should have been locked up for what he did.

'His barrister said he feels remorse but when he turned up in court he just sneered at me. I hope he is ashamed for the rest of his life.'

Unpunished: Reece Kent, 19, admitted to attacking Mr Oliver but walked free

St Albans Crown Court heard that Kent and two friends began banging on his door at 3.30am on October 23 last year, asking for someone called Molly.

As Kent launched a vicious attack on Mr Oliver, his friends filmed the assault with a mobile phone in front of his wife Pauline, 64, and his three-year-old granddaughter.

The pensioner had undergone surgery to remove a third of his lung just five weeks earlier.

He suffered a cracked left cheekbone, extensive bruising round his left eye and face and a dislocated toe.

Ken spent a week in intensive care at Queen's Hospital, Romford, Essex, and a CT scan revealed bleeding in the brain and left temple.

Recorder Peter Digney told him: 'The man you kicked was a man who had enough problems without you adding to them.'

He had decided by the 'slightest margin' not to send him to jail.

Just another bleeding heart judge safely isolated from the real world.

I'm increasingly convinced - not just from this incident - that as long as Western societies remain complacent and quietly absorb the results of abandoning personal responsibility, they are doomed and well deserve to rot.

That the scum's 'friends' weren't prosecuted for filming the performance is a double insult to decency, though we should expect the libtards to argue they were neither responsible for the unprovoked attack nor legally obliged to interfere.

The softness of the upholding of the laws is what is making this society ready to implode.

I agree, it's under siege on several fronts and just can't see it. Could be it doesn't want to see it or believes it's invincible, which is lethal.

Stories like this, along with the photo of this piece of shit, almost make me physically ill. I just hope the old guy has a couple of friends who can set this right one dark night at closing time.

Evidently, it's not. It's a danger when decent common social laws are over-ruled by PC legal technicalities towards a basic foundation as to right and wrong.

    SGC Guidelines

The guidelines set out below apply to a first time adult offender who has been convicted after a trial, and on the basis that he/she has not been assessed as dangerous.

Victim suffered life-threatening injury or particularly grave injury from a pre-meditated wounding or GBH involving the use of a weapon acquired prior to the offence and carried to the scene with specific intent to injure the victim: Starting Point: 13 years custody, Sentencing Range: 10-16 years custody

Victim suffered life-threatening injury or particularly grave injury (where the offence was not pre-meditated) OR Pre-meditated wounding or GBH involving the use of a weapon acquired prior to the offence and carried to the scene with specific intent to injure the victim (but not resulting in a life threatening injury or particularly grave injury): Starting Point: 8 years custody, Sentencing Range: 7-10 years custody

Victim suffered a very serious injury or permanent disfigurement OR Pre-meditated wounding or GBH OR Other wounding or GBH involving the use of a weapon that came to hand at the scene: Starting Point: 5 years custody, Sentencing Range: 4-6 years custody

Other wounding or GBH: Starting Point: 4 years custody, Sentencing Range: 3-5 years custody

Difficult to believe, given the above guidelines, that the assailant is not serving a custodial sentence for his unprovoked assault on an elderly man.

The problem i see with the judgement is that it was issued by a 'Recorder' who by legal definition must be a Barrister or Solicitor of at least 10 years standing. They are part-time judges who must serve as Recorders for a minimum of 30 days per year.

The defendant, despite pleading guilty to GBH, quite interesting had a Barrister to represent him in court. Could he have been a personal friend of the Recorder?

Given the very irregular non-custodial sentence i suspect that the judgement will be challenged by the CPS and the Recorder's appointment could very well be terminated on grounds of incapacity or misconduct.

I hope that this young obnoxious individual receives a punishment befitting his violent attack on his elderly victim.

A non-custodial sentence for GBH is in my experience quite unique and more importantly is not sending out the correct message to those who would use violence in order to achieve personal satisfaction.

I've obviously been out of the UK for too long. The etiquette in my day when meeting the father of a girlfriend was to introduce myself and shake his hand.

Is this new way of greeting the father to be used in Thailand when meeting the father of a Thai girl?

The law in the UK is a fucking disgrace. I notice they didn't name the judge as the kunt should be stung up by his bollocks and left to die.

With just a few months to live, this old man has little to lose. Some how get this guy really drunk and then work on him. With a 5 pound hammer, I would crush both knees, both ankles, all ten toes and then both elbows, both wrist and all ten fingers.
At 19 years old, this turd would have a life of pain to remember this old man for.

Wow, I don't foresee myself going to the UK anytime soon. Probably a good thing because I'd end up on the wrong side of the law if I bumped into a POS like that. That scum needs to serv some hard time squealing for MaMa while he's getting broke in getting rode so hard...

Well at least this guy had the balls to stand up and do the job the filth should be doing.

I would have dismissed the case.

Man who killed urinating yob jailed

Antony Kershaw was stabbed to death after being caught urinating through a letterbox

    Published Date: 29 October 2010
A "good neighbour" who stabbed a man he caught urinating through his letterbox on a yob-plagued estate has been jailed for five years after admitting manslaughter.
Michael Williams, 53, "just flipped" after he caught father-of-one Anthony Kershaw, 25, high on drink and drugs, defiling his property.

The householder, who lived alone, had already suffered the same attack previously, and had paint thrown on his door, Manchester Crown Court heard.

Residents were too frightened to go out at night because of a gang of teenagers terrorising the sprawling Smallbridge council estate in Rochdale, it was said.

Williams, described by neighbours as "pleasant, friendly and keeps himself to himself" heard a bang on the front door of his ground-floor flat on the night of April 19, as if someone was kicking at it to break in. He went to investigate, to see urine pouring through his letterbox, he told police.

Angry he went to his kitchen, grabbed a knife with a seven-inch blade and as Mr Kershaw urinated, swung open the door and in a "momentary intention" stabbed his victim in the stomach.

He then closed the door and dialled 999 as friends of Mr Kershaw tried to attack Williams, smashing his windows and threatening to "burn him alive" by torching the property. Mr Kershaw died the next day in hospital from the knife wound to his stomach.

Passing sentence, Mr Justice Keith said: "I take into account that this was a frightening and intimidating estate to live on and I have noted the violence, abuse and other anti-social behaviour which you and other people on your estate have been subjected to over the years.

"You were responsible for his death, however drunk and high he was and however badly he was behaving that night."

Mr Kershaw's mother, Debbie Alger, in a tribute to her son after his death described him as "always a jack-the-lad and loved by many". Mr Kershaw had a young son, Stevie-Lee, with his girlfriend Natalie.
His mother's a stupid fucking bitch, too.

Too bad this didn't happen in Thailand where those with a grievance can pay thugs to exact retribution. The little scumbag looks rather proud of himself in the pic.

He'll probably have such a hard time in the Uk he'll think of moving to Thailand. There are plenty of criminals from the West living in Thailand right now. He's in the UK and there are some TD posters there. I just see it as every thug like this gone is better for the world. Too often we hear stories of criminals getting off or experience crime ourselves. This is why the rest of society has become so hateful. We're living in a world were criminals generally get off easy meanwhile the victims suffer. I think this anger is driving recent political movements as well. People are just tired of seeing aholes get off. In the 1970s there seemed to be a boom in vigilante movies that came out. Mostly they were about individuals fighting back against local criminals. There hasn't been too much in recent years in this style. Anyways, I hope this dirtbag gets his teeth knocked out at least for this.

Reece Kent will now become a national celebrity, appearing on the front page of tabloids, and will wind up with a regular acting slot on Eastenders.

Ready for what? Just mention this case next time he's nicked for kicking someone's lights out and his legal aid squealers will join with the libtards to pelt you, yes you, with charges. Suddenly it's you being investigated by-the-book on your attitudes/procedures/competence/sensibilities while he becomes the victim of corrupt police practices as 'proven' by charges being laid against your lot!

Isn't that the way it works? To be fair and honest, and I ask having known quite a few from cops to SB in the old days, how many days of police work per year do you and your colleagues manage to scrape through without a single breach or questionable conduct or infraction of the rulez?

Face it, the West has moved so impressively far and fast in recent decades across the board, that it's burning up. The honesty box no longer works in a society that's moved on from the days of a man's word being his bond. Likewise, an impotent (or demoralised) judiciary working with mollycoddling social and penal networks send the message that people have to be seen to be protected in order for the bleeding hearts to justify their existence, and as it can't be the innocent then wtf let's make it the perps.
