Why would he be eating raw peas? And wouldn't it need to be dried before being able to grow?

The second story may be plausible. That is if a fresh green pea can germinate.

As a kid I loved to eat young green peas uncooked out of the pod directly from the plant in my grandfathers garden. They are delicious. It is said the man accidentially breathed in the pea. My grandfater used the peas for seeds the next year. But he used the later stage of fully developed then dried peas. So it depends on if the young green peas can germinate.

The first story is totally ridiculous. A fully developed twig growing inside the lung without light? I will never believe that.

Sounds like mankind's only chance of long-term survival might be to interbreed with plant-life and vegetables? One thing that Thailand may actually be a 'hub' of..
