'Adolf Hitler' Is Taken Into Care

Three young children with Nazi-themed names, including a boy called Adolf Hitler, have been taken into care.

Officials removed Adolf Hitler Campbell and his sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie, from their home in Holland Township, Sergeant John Harris said.

But the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) did not reveal the reason why the children were taken into the custody of the state, he told Fox News.

The children's father Heath Campbell is expected in court today in New Jersey in connection with the case.

Kate Bernyk, a spokeswoman for the DYFS, said confidentiality laws prevented her from confirming the Campbell children were involved.

"DYFS has their reasons and they normally don't release any information, so we kind of have to go on faith with them," Sergeant Harris said.

"I've dealt with the family for years and as far as the children are concerned, I have never had any reports of any abuse with the children.

"As far as I know, he's always been very good with the children."

In December, a shop refused to sell a birthday cake to Mr Campbell and his wife Deborah because they asked for three-year-old Adolf Hitler's name to be iced onto it.

Bakers ShopRite said it would be "inappropriate" to put such a name on a cake and added they would not be willing to provide a cake for JoyceLynn Aryan Nation when she turns two in February.

Mr Campbell said he named his son after Hitler because he liked the name and because "no-one else in the world would have that name".

Was just reading that article on Yahoo news, what total fokwits some parents are, do they not think of the years of abuse they will be subjecting their kids to by giving them names like that, some people should be neutered at birth.

My son was going to be called Joseph Goebbels Tud but we settled on Arthur instead after discovering that amazingly there was a guy called Joseph Goebbels who was a politician in Nazi Germany. A lucky escape there for sure.

Off topic I know.... but re Noodles new Signature..

"The distinguished tasting panel described Chang as: "Bright golden color. Honeyed raisin toast aromas with a hint of lychee follow through on a crisp, smooth entry to a dryish medium body with a hint of apple, nut, and a solid roasted grain character. Finishes with a crisp, balanced earthy hop and pizza dough fade. A very nice food beer."

Shit!! I didn't realise I was having a fruit and nut platter every time a cracked the top off one!!!!! There's some nutrition for ya

Some might say the parents are morons for naming a child "Adolf Hitler".

On the other hand, the real morons are those who wish to re-live the past through those innocent children.

What's that old saying that many parents teach their children, "Sticks & stones can break our bones but names can never hurt us".
It's too bad that most parents are hypocrites when it comes to this saying.
Oh for fucks sake! Get a life & stop trying to fuck mine up!

What about the lady who wouldn't put the name on the cake for the kids birthday? I think that is not so nice. A name is a name really.

Unless the parents did something wrong, as in abused the children, then I don't see what the problem is.

If the previous dictator of Germany was called John Hitler, can you imagine the turmoil today.

I agree the parents are mutants. Saw them on the TV news.

But unless the parents did something wrong ... leave the kids alone.

What if they named the kids Tojo or George W Bush or Caligula? Should they be equally punished?

The names of those children should have no bearing on any welfare assessment.

What if they named the kids Dick Cheese and Anal Warts?

Yep the parents are weird, but the children can at least change their names when they are older. Is it "abuse" to give children such names? There's a question....

This not a "question" as such. It is, however, your question. I don't believe that names are in any way abusive. To believe such a thing would mean that you are open to "control" by a lot of people.
On the other hand, "sticks & stones...."

It is a question, otherwise you would not have given your answer.

I can see both sides of the argument.

Children are highly suggestible. To give them names which will lay them open to taunts and ridicule may be considered unfair and I can see how some may consider it a form of psychological abuse. I recall a friend named Julian, from my teenage years, who used to have the crap beaten out of him because of his name. Not sure how he feels about his parents' choice after a decade or more of being knocked about by the village idiots.

There again it will show them first-hand how shallow some people are and may help build character. I'm not sure whether Adolf Hitler, or Julian, would agree though.

Obviously & sadly, you believe in "cause & effect", like most of the other dullards on this buggered planet.

Can't you see that the name of the person is not the problem? The problem is the reaction that morons have to the name.
Don't change names to suit morons otherwise you are a sheep.

    What's wrong with "Julian"?

Imagine having one of these hippy names?

The 'morons' do have their reactions, though.

Not a great consolation after a childhood of teasing and ridiculing that it's not the name your loving parents gave you, but everybody's reaction to it.

Yes I can see that side of the argument.

After a decade of having stones thrown at him and the occasional bout of hospitalisation, not to mention being labelled a "faggot" just for his name, I think Julian might have preferred to be called "Peter" or something a tad more conventional. I doubt whether he would have opted for Adolf though, although in 1970's Essex it could have won him a few more friends.

I guess I can understand that.
