Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Friday came out loud and clear against terrorism but at the same time said that no suspect would be handed over to India or any other country.

The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting between President Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday.

Federal Minister for Information Sherry Rehman and other prominent government officials were also present during the meeting.

Asif Ali Zardari and Yousuf Raza Gilani reportedly discussed in detail the prevailing political situation in the country in the backdrop of the growing tensions with neighbouring India and both the leaders expressed concern over Indian PM Manmohan Singh's statement terming Pakistan an epicentre of terrorism and maintained that such statements would further worsen the situation and only benefit the non-state actors involved in such acts of terrorism.

Both the leaders said that Pakistan was itself a victim of terrorism and was playing role as frontline state in the international war on terror and during the course had rendered countless sacrifices.

President Zardari and Premier Gilani made it loud and clear that Pakistan would not hand over any suspect of Mumbai terrorist attacks to India or any other country and if someone was found involved in Mumbai mayhem or somewhere else he would be tried and punished under the law of the land.
