Got this from seat guru, as you are the first person to say TG has a lot of pitch.

It does not. In fact the most pitch comes in at 42 in the economy deluxe on an A 340. Its cramped very cramped on long haul Thai flights in economy.

    Seat guru.

    747's

Going back to the thread it now appears to have been changed to 44" from 34"- whoever did forgot to change the 32" figure at the end, or I missed typed, I will believe the latter as nobody would be so petty to change one of my posts surely.

That always has been the only plane type. Most airlines in the world only give 32" some down to 30" in other plane types.

On my first visit to Asia, many years ago, I chose Thai for that purpose. It was not because of the free stopover in Bangkok.

Hey I used to have a travel agency back in the states and I sold Thai as much as I could. But they refused to keep on their fleet. Then they were reduced to squeezing people in as too many aircraft had become redundant. A once well respected airline is no more. Plus they just fired the guy who was honest and trying to turn them around. I pulled the first version of the seat chart as it sure as heck did not come out as copied. Just hit the link and have a look. 32 max. Wow.

I hope you aren't accusing me of doctoring your post, which you have now edited to delete your original table.

    From todays SG site

Thai operates multiple versions of the 747, this being the oldest that is used for short haul flights. On many routes, the First Class cabin is sold as Business Class while Busines Class is sold as Premium Economy.
    pitch width seating details
Business Class: 42.0" 20.0" 62 Standard seats More Info
Economy Class: 32-34.0" 17.0" 325 seats More Info
First Class: 60.0" 21.5" 18 Standard seats More Info

Have they stopped flying the 747's completely now?

Hey, I used to work at:

GCHQ - Government Communications Headquarters, UK - Just kidding, and am aware that anyone with access can change any piece of information to suit there own ends.

I have no ability to check with who has the edit function on this site, but because you have for no reason edited your post in question, there is a little doubt in my mind.

You thought it was where the luggage was stored I know. It is where they store the small seats which you purchase and then upgrade from, with your FF points/free "gold" upgrades
Ah yes, I have been known to do that. You mean there's another use for them?

You can transfer the "gold" points acquired through flights to a "nominee" with Thai.

At the core of thai's wows is that for decades its been a retirement home for well connected functionaries of the more powerful patronage networks. A reward for services rendered. All they want to do is play model trains, squeeze what ever backhanders that can out of the system, and enjoy the car and golf course.

The last thing the board want is someone who thinks their running a business.

It's the seats you purchase - they also call it coach.

(so predictable - poor people always feel the need to brag)

Well I'm unlikely to meet you there then, we get our own Premium Passenger terminal in Doha, and separate transport, so I don't have to mix with you paupers.

Probably just as well, because you'd probably spend the whole flight telling me what a lovely screen your iPhone has or something equally dull.

I could have flown the A380 with Korean Airlines going to the USA last year, but waiting for my luggage with 600 other passengers did not sound too appealing. The 777 or A330 or 340 are nice size airplanes.
Hitting immigration and customs with 600 fellow passengers does not promise to be fun either.

Entirely depends on the airport, and how they are managed.

At any given time, there are 5-8 wide-body 747-class planes disembarking at LAX, so you 'sharing' immigration with 600 pax is a pretty pointless concern, when you are actually 'sharing' immigration with about 2,800-3,500 pax at the same time.

What's up Daffy, can't afford to sit in the nice cabins because you handed over all your disposable income to Apple?

Ermmm...yes, I have been in Australia for a time.

Edit: I searched posts by him, didn't see any mention of him claiming to be Daffy....

If he is it'll be easy to prove to me......

What's the fourth letter of Daffy's real surname?
