Scotland's leading wicket-taker vents frustration to axing on social media

Scotland allrounder Majid Haq has been thrown out of the World Cup for posting a race-related tweet after being dropped from yesterday’s match against Sri Lanka in Hobart.

Winless Scotland will face Australia in their final match of the tournament on Saturday, also in Hobart. Haq, who is Scotland's leading ODI bowler with 60 wickets and also boasts three half-centuries to his name, had played in his team's four previous matches, taking three wickets and making a top score of 31 against Afghanistan.

"Always tougher when your in the minority!! #colour #race" tweeted the 32-year-old, who was born in Scotland and is of Pakistani descent.

    The post was later deleted.

"Following a breach of Cricket Scotland's internal code of conduct, international team member, Majid Haq, is travelling home from the ICC World Cup," a statement from the Scottish board said.

"No further statement will be issued until internal processes have been completed in due course."

According to BBC Sport, Haq took a flight home from Melbourne on Tuesday, before also posting on his Twitter account: "Make sure everybody in your 'boat' is rowing and not drilling holes when you're not looking. Know your circle."

More of an entitlement seeking hypocrite than a liar.

Playing the race card because he was dropped - poor form.

Don't get your sporran in such a twist next time, Jimmy McMajid.

Would you consider this to be "blackballed?"

^Free Masons often give out the odd blackball. As do other noted secret organizations...CIA, MI5, NSA...Hammas...ISIS.

In Free Masonry blackballs can appear in the secret vote to allow a potential new member to join. Majid Haq is already in the team so he cannot have been blackballed in the same masonic way, and therefore I wouldn't consider him to have been "blackballed". I don't know the selection process for the Scotland cricket team but perhaps they do have a secret vote and the selectors use black or white balls to make their choice. But I doubt it very much.

Couldn't even use the 'minority' card in large swathes of Englandistan.

" Damned infidels are picking on my paki arse...me a good looking paki, Asif, too...and even though I'm indiginous to the British majority. And integrated and all that.

The paki minority in Scotland shouldn't last for much longer, though there is some serious catching up to do.

^^ Possibly. You would need to tattoo them to look blue and white in an approved Scottish design.

    Something like this, perhaps...

Wouldn't this be considered "racist," in certain circles?
