Oops...Al Qaeda sorry after beheading wrong man.

A bit of Red on Red action.....

A group of Al Qaeda rebels have begged for "understanding and forgiveness" after they mistakenly beheaded the wrong man.

Beardy dead dude on the left.

The men, who identified as members of Islamist State of Iraq and al-Sham, learned that they had decapitated a fellow extremist rather than their enemy after he was recognised in a video posted to YouTube, the UK Telegraph reported.
In the footage, the men brandished a knife as they held up the bearded head before a crowd in Aleppo, announcing the execution of the supposed Iraqi Shia militia fighter.
However, the head was quickly recognised as that of Mohammed Fares, a Ahrar al-Sham commander who was reported missing several days ago.
The Sunni Islamist group fights alongside ISIS but does not share its al-Qaeda ideology.
The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights, which monitors deaths in the Syrian conflict, believed the mix-up occurred after the ISIS fighters misunderstood comments made by Mr Fares regarding the founding fathers of Shiism.
But ISIS spokesman Omar al-Qahtani said the deceased, thinking he had been captured by Shia militia, asked them to kill him.
It is believed Mr Fares become separated from his men after being injured in the battle for Base 80, a military zone being fought over near Aleppo.

In explaining the error Mr al-Qahtani made reference to a story in which Mohammed said Allah would forgive a man who killed a believer in error.

    So it's all ok then....

Al Qaeda rebels sorry for beheading mix-up

    Nice.

Perhaps we could stop invading and fighting these folks, and let them all kill each other. They all hate each other, we just make ourselves a larger target for them to focus their joint efforts upon. When I say we, I mean the crony politicians and the greedy oil and other corporations that control foreign policy.
    Cycling should be banned!!!

I chopped someone's head off the other day. It turns out that he hadn't looked at my Mrs. after all.

    Bit embarrassing.

I feel for them. There are few things in life more embarrassing that cutting the head off the wrong guy.....at least that's what I've always found. It's worst than farting loudly in a packed elevator when your boss is standing beside you.

At least they know now who the beheaded man is, so relatives can claim the components and bury them in Mooslim tradition if they so desire. The Mexican government tried to identify an in Christian fashion beheaded women on Facebook. Didn't work. On the contrary, the British PM Himself complained that there is content like this on faecesbook. Probably because it's not about Islam.

Yes, it was jolly decent of those Muslims to identify that beheaded person before killing him, those Muslims arent too bad are they.......pretty decent chaps actually.
The Muslims kept his head for identifying him, that just shows what a bunch of decent people that they are .

They will be equally sorry when they use the guns &/or money our governments are giving them to kill and maim our own people, I'm sure.

Why are we being so mean to our Allies? Mistakes happen, it's just collateral damage.

So when can we expect them to be brought into an Afghan court on murder charges then?

You know, "Taliban A, Taliban B", that sort of thing.
