Five women have branded Sir Jimmy Savile a sexual predator who allegedly raped and abused them when they were underage schoolgirls.

The explosive sex grooming allegations are made in a documentary to be aired on national TV on Wednesday night.

The women, now in their fifties, claim Sir Jimmy was at the peak of his fame when he is said to have molested them in his Rolls-Royce, at a hospital, a school and the BBC Television centre



One of the alleged victims claims the Top of The Pops DJ raped her in his dressing room, while another alleges she lost her virginity to him when she was 15.
In the ITV1 documentary, Exposure: The other Side of Jimmy Savile, the star, who died last year aged 84, is accused of allegedly:

• Promising a victim he would not rape her but then did
• Asking one girl to perform an indecent act on him in the back of his Rolls
• Wearing a shell suit so that he could easily pull down the elastic trousers to assault his victims.
  
• Giving a girl who said she lost her virginity to him, his autobiography with a message written inside which said: 'No escape' and signing it her 'keeper'.

The documentary also features damning contributions from former BBC production staff who reveal that the star’s predatory behaviour with girls as young as 12 was an open secret

One woman given the pseudonym Angie claimed she lost her virginity in a London hotel room with Savile who later gave her his autobiography in 1974 with the message inside 'No escape' and signing it her 'keeper.'


She said he regularly abused her in his dressing room. She claimed: 'There was a little sort of couch and he would have me lie down on it just to do the sex act.
'It was very quick and unemotional and that was it. I wasn't able to do anything about it. I just feel he took huge advantage of me.'

Savile, knighted for raising millions for charity, is said to have preyed on girls at Duncroft Approved School for Girls in Staines, Surrey, when he visited in the 1970s in his caravan.
A former pupil given the pseudonym Fiona, was 14 when she says she was abused after being invited to be in the audience of his show Clunk Click.

She says: 'He had an alcove in his dressing room and took you behind the curtain. He wanted you to sit on his knee while he spun you around in the chair.'
Fiona alleged he would lure girls by taking them out in his car when he visited the school.

She claimed that the first time he abused her was in the back of his Rolls-Royce while pupils were at picnic tables in the grounds.
'I was having this wonderful day out and was expected to pay for it. And that's what I did.'


After viewing the documentary, Esther Rantzen has told how some in broadcasting ‘blocked our ears’ to claims about Jimmy Savile made during his career.

In an emotional interview, the broadcaster and Childline founder told The Mail on Sunday: ‘I feel that we in television, in his world, in some way colluded with him as a child abuser – because I now believe that’s what he was. We all blocked our ears. There was gossip, there were rumours.

I remember in Louis Theroux's interview the subject came up and Saville seemed quite anxious to put down any suggestion of inappropriate behaviour, almost before Theroux had finished his question.

There was an interview with him in which allegations of pederasty came up, he said calmly that he had the best lawyers and they made the allegations go away.

Police 'questioned Jimmy Savile' over abuse in 2007



Surrey police has confirmed that Sir Jimmy Savile was questioned over allegations of child sex abuse in 2007.

In a statement, they said an individual was interviewed over offences which were "alleged to have occurred at a children's home" in the 1970s.

The matter was referred to the Crown Prosecution Service, which "advised there was insufficient evidence to take any further action".

A documentary detailing similar allegations is due to air this week.

The broadcaster, who died last year, is accused of sexual abuse against under-age teenage girls in the ITV1 investigation, to be shown on Wednesday.

Several alleged victims speak on the programme. They say the abuse took place in hospitals, schools and BBC buildings.

In a statement, the BBC said it had found no evidence of abuse taking place on its premises.

"Whilst the BBC condemns any behaviour of the type alleged in the strongest terms, in the absence of evidence of any kind found at the BBC that corroborates the allegations that have been made it is simply not possible for the corporation to take any further action."

The broadcaster's nephew, Roger Foster, added that his family was "disgusted and disappointed" by the programme.

But fellow broadcaster Paul Gambaccini said he had been "waiting 30 years" for such stories to come out.

Speaking on ITV1's Daybreak programme, he said newspapers had been primed to run similar stories while Sir Jimmy was alive, but the star had intervened to prevent their publication.

"On [one] occasion, and this cuts to the chase of the whole matter, he was called and he said 'well you could run that story, but if you do there goes the funds that come in to Stoke Mandeville - do you want to be responsible for the drying up of the charity donations'. And they backed down."

No charges were ever brought against the broadcaster when he was alive

I own his satin trousers, but his gold shirt does not fit, what with him being quite skinny and me having Sharky-like traps and moobs.

If these 'journalists' had the stories years ago and hadn't got the bottle to publish them when he was alive which could have prevented him abusing yet more kids, then they should probably have kept their mouths shut now seeing as the bloke can't defend himself. In fact if it was up to me i'd have the journalists charged for with holding information about kiddy fiddling.

I was thinking the same thing. It is a criminal offence to withhold knowledge of child sex abuse from the police. A priest was charged with that in Aussie recently but he died yesterday so will miss his trial.

I don't believe that. It is pure bluff. Even if he had been charged he would hardly have stopped the hospital donations as it would have counted in his favour at sentencing.

Esther bleedin' Rantzen is now barging her way back centre stage - after a long but pointless career - to declare that she knew all along.

Now then, now then....anything else you're keeping schtum about Esther?

Perhaps she felt that since these chicks were in their early teens, and it was the swinging sixties, that it wasn't 'kiddyfiddling' in the shrill modern sense of the term. But you'd have to ask her.

Jim had political connections & was protected from up on high.

what i can't stomach is the founder of a certain help line,had suspicions about him years ago but said nothing.

any attention seeking loony can come out of the woodwork and claim to be a victim.

in his day he was very popular with the public, but not with his contempories, he was very eccentric, he did not mix with the celeb crowd and he didnt care what people thought of his eccentricities.

many in the business were jealous of him.

he may have done all these things, or he may not have.

but i believe it is too late to find out now. its all speculation, rumour, uncorroborated stories and the settling of old grudges and jealousies.

Maybe to make sure that this doesn't happen again that any other living celebs are not allowed to cover up their perversions.

the attitudes are very different these days, there is an almost pathological climate of fear that society is crawling with drooling paedos just waiting for any parent or institution to drop their guard for one second so they can strike and subject our children to unspeakable horrors, whilst parents are forbidden from watching or photographing their children at school sports days until they have been subjected to police checks.

these days celebs go on to reality shows to openly boast about their perversions.

i dont know if the world was more fucked up then or now.

Yes, that's a terrific photo.

The sale went on (online) for 12 hours. It was gruelling.

Re: the allegations. I sense he was wily enough to know this would come out one day, but didn't want it emerging till after he'd kicked the bucket. So, in terms of legacy, he wasn't much bothered (may not have even felt he had one), so we shouldn't either worry about his reputation.

Rock and roll was a perverse business. Probably still is. It's not the holy Church.*

i met saville once, at a thai restaurant in leeds, it was about 4 months before he died. he was dining with a couple of chaps, one of whom is an acquaintance of mine from way back and i went over to say hello to this acquaintance and was introduced to saville.

saville looked terrible, long greasy hair, thin and haggard, but he was animated and chatty.

i had heard many stories about saville and his ways with women, he was something of a legend in leeds and during the seventies and eighties a frequent visitor to the clubs there. women used to throw themselves at him, but according to the stories, he would always chase after working class women, the bleached blonde scrubbers, divorcees, the yorkshire equivalent of the essex girls of the nineties or the fat slags from viz magazine. tight mini skirts, white stillettos and beer breath.

i heard may stories about his adventures, but underage and teenage stuff was never mentioned.

who knows if these stories are true or not, i guess the truth will never come out.

what is equally disturbing is the accusation that the bbc did have proof of his activities, yet chose to keep it quiet. if the stories were true and they had spoken out then his activities could have been prevented, he would have been prosecuted, and future victims would have been saved.

but like i said, 30 years on its all speculation, and the public will believe what they want to believe.
