Dragon Fruit

Hello Unregistered,

Durian
Seeds and Cuttings

The Dragon Fruit in Thailand grows extremely well on the Eastern Seaboard, ie the Chanthaburi area, originally it was brought into Thailand from Vietnam.

As you can see in this first photo of the dragon fruit, it is a cacti, it can survive a wide range of temperatures, note survive, not thriving in a wide range of temperatures.

To eat dragon fruit just slice in half, use a spoon to seperate the flesh of the fruit from the brown skin, the skin isn't for eating so can be binned, the flesh slice and dice, eat and enjoy.

Hopefully I shall be growing some of these later in the year so we can follow on how well they do in Jomtien, shall probably go the concrete poll way with a wooden x on top to spread the cacti out a bit.

Dragon Fruit is very good for you, it is low in calories and offers numerous nutrients, including antioxidants, Vitamin C, calcium, fiber and phosphorus.
