I had very pleasant trip to Hanoi in 2017.
I thought some pics may be of interest.
A shop on a bike.
Woman Guerilla 1958 bronze.
I found a bar near my hotel doing a buy one, get one free offer on Hanoi beer.
The sun had risen by the time I left the bar.
This was approximately the face I saw looking back at me in the mirror when I eventually woke up.
I went on a day trip to Ha Long Bay.
I don't usually do day trips.
The late-middle-aged weirdo count tends to be high.
But, ignoring the weirdoes, this trip was well worth it.
Scenic, and one of the few things I'd recommend anybody doing before they die.
While having a meal on the boat, I shared a table with some Korean guys, who had several bottles of Korean hooch with them.
They asked if I would like a taste, which of course I answered yes, and they asked for six glasses for our session.
It seemed similar to Poitín, in that it slid down easily but made your face go as red as a traffic light.
One healthy measure led to several more, and I was wobbly but merry to go on the rowboat trip which followed.
The rowboats went through a cave to a wonderful bay inside.
The hooch made it even more wonderful.
I also found these pics from my trip when I got home, but I don't know where they are from exactly.
Maybe there was a little extra in that hooch.
