Missing thread

[Troubled]

I often click on "home" to see new posts.
On the home page is a list of recent threads
"Thaivisa and whores" was the second thread psoted by DJPat at 5.19.
I then usually click on " new psots" so that I can access the most recent posts on a thread rather than go to page 1 if I click on the item in the "recent threads" list.

So upon clicking on "new posts" there is no mention of the DJPat thread.

Why would this be?
Is there another way of obtaining the most recent posts?

if you opened the post it won't show up in "new posts" until a change (another post) is made.
