Repo Points - reduce number before giving to same person

I believe you have to give 20 points to different posters before you can give another point to the first poster. Is that right?

My question is: can this be reduced? I find myself wanting to give points to the same few people, but can't. Maybe change it to 10?

Just have 10 or so people that you dislike in reserve and very quickly red the bastards, freeing you up to pour sunshine on your loved one.

I think I've only ever given one red. I like a quiet life...

Thats where someone give you a point but has'nt got the required 10 reppo points, to give it any value.

The blue/purple dots in the control panel repo list are from people whose vote doesn't have an impact yet.
It's all explained in a recent repo point thread by dirtydog.

I think the point system is quite clever, specially in a forum with minimum moderation. It's a form of feedback by peers.

It will need adjusting as more members reach dbl digit greens.

A purple point is one given to you but doesn't count.

Either because the member has not yet reached the dizzy heights of 5 posts or he has no green blobs of his own.

I think that's right. Correct me if I am wromg

You cannot give rep-points to the same poster again, until a certain amount of time has passed or not until you gave rep-points to 20(?) others.

So you cannot pick too frequently on someone nor keep boosting your favorites.

It took me a couple of weeks before I even noticed the comments in the control panel!

Posting something informative with nice pics often makes others feel charitable towards you.
