    Cloudflare blocking TD on Firefox

Cloudflare seems to be blocking TD on Firefox on Win11 or failing to execute its verification process.

    Started 3 days ago.

The 'Verifying you are a human' page appears but the Cloudflare logo never appears beneath it.

Instead, an eggtimer appears and then 10 seconds later the page reloads and that goes on forever.

I tried a couple of different machines, and it is the same on all.

I tried disabling uBlock and ABP but that did not resolve the issue.

I use Firefox and haven't had that problem, and (though it may not be relevant) live only 70 miles or so from you.

I also use Firefox and haven't had that problem.

I assume you have tried different browsers and the others were OK.

If not, could it be a poor (slow) internet service, Looper?

It is most likely an extension you have installed on firefox that is blocking it.

Mine was similar while using Chrome on a Win 11 PC.

It would take 30-40 seconds or so to go through the cloudflare process. But, it would do it while I changed to view a different tab, so could just go back to the TD tab a minute or so later and it would be loaded. Started maybe 1-2 days ago.

Checked on the phone at the same time, also Chrome, on an android phone, and it loaded immediately.

^ same here, chrome on Win 11

If it takes overly long, I just close the tab and open TD again and everything works fine, or has for me.

I tried FF and had no problems. Edge seems to work great as well.

Yet, other browsers can be installed on Apple products, no? I'm using Chrome, on Windows 11. Windows comes stock with Edge, for example.

That's a bit harsh, I'm sorry if clarity was requested in order to help Looper solve his problem. Nope, I'm retired.

Don't say it's true you're not using Safari!!!!!!!!! It's the app that all Apphun devices depend on to access the interwebby thingy.

So, TD has not been geo-blocked by the QLD or Strayan department of internet safety

Edge runs fine on all these machines, so it is FF specific and is not an IP address Cloudflare block.

Even if I leave it for 10 minutes it is still cycling round the eggtimer then reload every 20 seconds.

I tried FF on a different Win10 machine, and it has the same problem

    On Win11 I am running 146.0.1

    A complete mystery

Which I think leaves SAs hypothesis as the current front-runner

I might try an FF reinstall and reboot next.

Yes, you’re quite right, it was inappropriate and I accept the reprimand.

Presumably non- Safari browser users are accessing filth and other stuff.

It's not a problem of yours, it is at your internet provider

What makes you think that when it is browser specific to FF?

I will be curious to test this but I don't have access to another ISP ATM.

I have been trying to use Edge. I write longer posts in NPP and then copy and paste. But Edge inserts an extra new line if I have make an empty line between paragraphs. And does not insert any extra line if I don't have an empty line so I end up with too many or too few new lines.

Brave on Win11 has the even stranger behaviour of removing all new lines from copy and pasted text from NPP. So you end up with a single paragraph.

It isn't, I and a few posters in this thread have no problem with FF. I see cloudflare verification popping up more often now (not only on TD) but I get immediately verified, takes a max of one second before t disappears. It does so also on chrome for me.

    The most likely culprit.

Are you sure you have disabled all extensions and add-ons. Another culprit could be your anti virus software.

I am running FF 146.0.1 on W11 with ABU and have had no issues

My only lonely connection to surf the wonderful worldwide web is through my phone.

I get about 5MB per second which is fast enough for video conferencing etc.

Molle's mention of ISP issue piqued my curiosity as it is one of the things in common between the 4 machines (Win11 + Win10) that all developed the problem on FF at the same time.

All the other browsers work fine.

Did a Firefox Refresh which is basically a reinstall that clears all add-ons but keeps your bookmarks, to no availment.

Might be easier to find another browser that does not have the problems that Edge and Brave have with CP from NPP.

    I've got a similar issue...

In the PI, some pictures on this simply don't load on any browser or device. Here in Bangkok, nary a problem, so I'm guessing it's something the ISP is doing. My guess is that picture files over a certain size are blocked.
