    Pictures Not Showing

^ Oddly, I can't see Stumpy's pictures as well, so maybe the imgbox thing is the problem.

    I just learned....

ISPs often block sites like imgbox, a common image-hosting platform, primarily due to automated content filtering, legal, or security reasons.

Here are the specific reasons why your ISP might be blocking imgbox:

    • Content Restrictions (Adult Content): Imgbox hosts a large amount of user-generated content, including adult material. ISPs often employ "child safe" or default network filters that automatically block image hosting sites to restrict access to explicit content.
    • Government/Regulatory Mandates: In certain regions (e.g., the Philippines with PLDT), ISPs block sites deemed to host "malicious," pirated, or inappropriate content based on government orders, which can sometimes result in false positives where legitimate image hosts are caught in the dragnet.
    • False Positive Security Block: The ISP’s security systems might have flagged imgbox as distributing malware or phishing, causing them to block the domain to protect users.
    • Default Parental Controls: Many major ISPs (such as Sky, BT, Virgin Media) now automatically opt-in new customers to web filtering, which restricts access to image-sharing sites.

How to Fix or Bypass the Block

If the block is unintended, you can try the following methods:

    • Change Your DNS Server: Switch from your ISP's default DNS to a public one, such as Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1). This is often enough to bypass DNS-based censorship.
    • Use a VPN: A Virtual Private Network (VPN) hides your traffic from your ISP, allowing you to bypass content restrictions.
    • Disable ISP Filters: Check your ISP’s account settings on their official website to see if "Child Safe" or "Web Protection" features are enabled and turn them off.
    • Use a Proxy Site: Use a web proxy to access the site if you do not have a VPN.

If you are a PLDT user in the Philippines, this has been a known, recurring issue that can often be resolved by using a different DNS provider.

    I use PLDT............

I was looking for a 3rd party pic posting solution since Imgur is blocked in the UK now so I looked at the work of the first TD picture jockey alumni I came across and found imgbox.com

So I have been using that for multi pic posts for a month

So if it is not working blame Stumpy!

Is it just the last post or are all my multi-picture posts not working? I can see them fine when not logged in on other machines using different browsers.

I have been using imgbox since before Christmas.

I use TD gallery for single pics.
I'm using the 'free' facility from these folks, that seems to work OK....ImgBB — Upload Image — Free Image Hosting

After spending last night and a part of the morning messing around...

Changing the DNS servers didn't work....

I signed up for NordVPN, so far all the pictures show and it seems fast.

It works somewhat OK, all of your pics are displayed but sometimes they take forever to load like 3min/pic. I guess you can't complain too much about a free gift..

Your picture posts do take a long time to load, PAG, salivatingly succulent as they invariably are.

If you resize from the original 4 or 5MB pics down to 1600x1200 or similar the pics will load 10x faster.

And I'm guessing Mr. Server is much happier dishing out the pics...

Me, use an Apple product!!!!!!!!! Never!!!!!!!!!!

Naw, it's exactly what google said...my isp is blocking those image apps because they're sketchy pieces of poo.

Oddly, I'm connected through a server in the PI using NordVPN and the images are showing. I've got to recommend NordVPN so far.

It has nothing to do with iApple - even though they are a bunch of kuntz. They make better devices and charge you double for the extra - you get 25% more and pay 50% more.

Never been a fan of Apple products, overpriced and updating makes older phones useless.

    Much prefer Samsung!

Btw no issues here with pics!

All load instantly and I can upload with no issues just as quickly since the upgrade.

    Cheers, noted.
