    Staying logged in help.

It started about a month or so ago whereby if I didn't navigate the forum for about 5-10 minutes I get auto logged out. When I re-log in I always tick the box requesting to remain signed in. But it doesn't seem to work.

Also my 'Private Messages' shows unread messages even though I've read them.

Firefox and Browsec. In fact I had problems with both over the last month or so and had to delete and restore them.

Look in your Firefox options. Is the following checked or unchecked? Clear history when Firefox closes

    And ...

    Accept cookies from sites

Accept third-party cookies: Keep until: They expire or Until I close Firefox ?

^Tools, options, then in the left panel(on my FF version) go down to and click on privacy. That's where those options are.

    Cancel the above.

I tell you...The end is near...Just marry a good "secretary"...It'll be her job to keep your "brain cells" running smoothly...With sweet reciprocity, of course...

Fook the "tech stuff"...It's soul destroying...

I tried with and without Browsec and it still logs out without being told to do so. Its not a great problem, just somewhat annoying.

Did you register your birth date in user settings?
If so and you are over 70 then TD's keep-alive function is disabled and you have to confirm that you are alive. Later on you'll have to do it every hour.

Perhaps this mysterious activity is nature's attempt to tell you something, Prag...

    Just a thought.

I seem to have a little problem, which possibly the Mod could fix.

My problem is I can't post in certain sections of the board,or edit my posts.

I'm sure the problem could be fixed with a simple click.

    Thanks

I think I found a solution. I followed the advice on here.
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/972105

    Chosen solution

Firefox should automatically trim the cache for you when it nears fullness. This wouldn't affect your cookies.
One possibility is that cookies are being cleared or expired out at certain intervals by an add-on or by external software.
Another possibility is that there is some kind of conflict or corruption with your cookies. You can delete all the cookies for a particular site (e.g., Google) using the Page Info dialog. While viewing a page on the site, try either:
    • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    • Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Hopefully after your next login any conflict or corruption will be resolved.

You can increase the size of memory for the cache.

Menu > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content

Tick the box for Override automatic cache management then increase the number.

^ It has worked now as I get logged in automatically on selecting TD. I'll leave it as it is for now Neverna and thanks for your input.
