    Disk quota reached !

About to start a new thread, but looks like my disk quota is reached, here the message i get :

    Disk quota exceeded

You have a space quota of 40960K, your files currently use 40811K, adding this file would make you exceed your quota.

Whata should i do ? Kill all my past gallerys ?

Not post pics anymore and go back to work...

Research were this was earlier allready answered...

    register a new nik?

wait for DD and ask him nicely to let you have more space.

never heard of the limit being exceeded before.

    Digital picturing

With those nice todays digicams, a simple shot is normally set by 2Mb on the cam... but the picture file once downloaded on the PC goes to 801k...

If disk quota is set to 40mb, roughly 50pics and quota is reached...

I think my cam can shoot up to 8 MB but i never tried, the 2MB setting makes the slide shows full screen view, just great and sufficient...

New thread on hold, or may be i'll register as hello copter or some thing in this way....

Never used photobucket yet, and see it to often as image removed, red X replacing file...

Txs, i'll wait and see if DD is willing to increase the quota, the $ will probably have then to be activated under my nik

that's only if the user removes a photo.
I still have an account with photobucket and am quite happy with it.

Try Phixr - Online Photo Editor.
this site lets you edit pics and also provides a list of 12 photo sharing services where you can upload the finished product.

Your gallery has been expanded, should really stick to pics of between 100 and 200kb though

Id love to do that to, but the software does not allow me to do this anymore ! I downloaded some Adobe Photo programm wich takes care of filing my hundreds of pics by date of upload in the PC...

From this adobe programm i did not found any way to resize the pics, so big as they are i have to upload them as is... ( until i'll be teached or find time to see how to compress....)

This new softwares of todays generation are a bit of invasion type for non techies, they tend to take care of many things we do not really wish as extras but installs them self along...

I'll do my best to try find and resize before new threads posting....

Any bare-bones jpeg editor should allow crop, resize and compress ig you have Microsoft office it comes with photoed, use it. nothing fancy but the three functions are supported. if you uplaod and post 10 pics at 1 Mb the thread can be too large to load with in a reasonable amount of time.
