I cycled past your friends window about 30 years ago trying to avoid getting skittled over the cliff by the RV drivers and lumber trucks!

So we drove down to LA got in Thursday night and had dinner with Vanessa. She had to work Friday so we had a plan to go to Griffith Park and hike up to the observatory. Just 4.5 K and up a few hundred meters. After just over half an hour there it was.

An amazingly accurate sundial on the grounds.

She had to have the Hollywood sign selfie, though was quite small.

A little closer to some domes.

Inside a very cool Tesla Coil. They switched it on developing 500,000 volts, but the shot sucked.

Then it was Saturday, the day we were allowed in Space X. There is no photography allowed inside so I have ripped off just a few photos of what we saw.X

Pt Dume is a rugged area on the Malibu coast I always loved and so does the daughter.

Sunday to Wat Thai and then a small beach to see kite surfing. The tall guy is Ness's boyfriend who is graduating from USC med school this year.

Great food and pix AO, can never understand why anyone who can afford health insurance would choose the 3rd world over N California.

Sounds good until you realize the noise from car decks, not for those afraid of heights, cycling is the way to go or on a Harley?
